Still a struggle deciding between OneUi and Pixel UI after watching that video. I really like both but there’s something about that Pixel UI that’s so clean….yet boring at the same time. Ugh.

This is me too!!

me too but every time I try a pixel, I end up missing things that I had on samsung so as much as I like the cleanless it just isn't for me right now.

if I'm going to swap full time from iphone, I don't want to hop into another system that feels boring and plain. I want all the customisation and fancy stuff I can get.
The one thing I will say though is that one can still download Nova Launcher on the Pixel and still have a lot of fun. I feel like a lot of the bells and whistles for OneUI are on the launcher, which Nova can replicate.

I thought you just returned the Pixel after like 1 day?

It's not necessarily about OneUI, it's more about Good Lock.

Because out of the box... Galaxy device is just about the same as a Pixel phone, installing Good Lock does so much to tweak Android to your liking (it’s crazy). There’s some discussion about photo blurriness when it comes to pets and kids, installing Camera Assistant via Good Lock could possible help.

Good Lock is the #1 reason I’m not switching to any phone at this point, if I could get that on OnePlus Open or Pixel 9 Pro Fold… I’d consider them.

Thanks for linking that. That's right, forgot about how good that app is.

Everyone has different taste, but from what I've seen so far I prefer the look of S24 Ultra. In fact I prefer the old curved design. But we will see when it get's officially announced later today at Unpacked, at the moment I'm only going off of leaked pics taken in a box and the marketing photos that have also leaked.

Goodlock is awesome, but I don't think Samsung have updated it in a while, I haven't seen any new features on my S24 ultra at least. I do like that it can do a lot of customisation. But I also find that after customisation, I tend to leave it that way for a while. So I'm not sure if I would miss it by going to the Pixel.

LOL...what is the difference between the S24U and the S25U camera array?

Have you not seen the camera rings? they look awful compared to the S24 Ultra.
They look almost identical in the picture i posted.
Did you not see the camera rings side by side? Then didn't you complain in previous post that Samsung camera layout was the same year after year?

No they dont, you have posted a marketing material poster. Look at the picture I have posted earlier today that leaked in the box. The S25 line up has the same looking camera rings as the Fold 6!!

Oh...I see it...the little black ring on the outside of the lenes......wow......how dare they change it so much!
I can totally see why you hate it.....

It’s called personal preference 🙄, I don’t like the way it looks 🤷🏻‍♂️
I also don’t like that it’s no longer boxy, that was a staple of the Note. Other people will disagree and that’s fine, I don’t need to agree about everything.

The event is in a few hours, let’s just see what’s announced and what we all think. That’s what this thread was created for by me! So we can all discuss the S25 lineup and what we think, both positive and negative.

Then that means… you don’t do enough with Good Lock lol. And it’s not necessarily about visual customization.. but actually tweaking Android.

And Samsung is always improving modules within Good Lock, every so often… some improvements are made. Because it’s the modules they update… not necessarily the Good Lock app itself.
