still waiting for one bar to be useful. aside from sport scores it's really useless. it's like i feared developers just don't care enough when it comes to android features.

be better if the bar dissappears when not in use.

I actually wonder if 3rd party developers are working on it or even allowed to at the moment.

I definitely find it useful for sports scores, will find it useful for music player once we get the update on the S25 Ultra. Maps is nice too.

In fairness, when I was on iOS, I only really used it for sports scores and Yahoo fantasy football, so that's my big wish there. Everything else kind of felt like it got in the way.

Also, even with Yahoo Fantasy Football on iOS, the scores didn't constantly update, most likely as a battery saving feature, so I usually just trusted the app.

Any particular apps you hoping will support Now Bar?

I was worried that there would be no Apple Music support, but now that it’s already available upon release… I’m content where it’s currently at. And it has Pocket Cast support as well, I don’t consider it being useless… I use Now Bar daily.

Yes, the Starbucks app.

On my 16PM, after I did an order in the APP, the digital island would have it running, and would let me know when the order was received, in progress and ready for pickup. Plus it played a beep at each stage.

So it would be nice is StarBucks devs would update the Android app like that.

I would like to see TheScore as part of the NowBar support, as well as Airlines. I think there is promise, and I was happy it had Apple Music and Podcast Addict support. I also use it for timers. It's pretty useful, but hopefully it can grow up.

Do we actually know if it's open for 3rd party developers to build their app around? Just but sure if it's a pipe dream or something that could happen.

No one wants to mention and share battery life?
So far today my stats are below
Total SoT has been 6.5 hours at 58% battery usage. I have 42% left so I imagine it will be 8-9 hours total SoT.
All of this has been at work on cellular with no Wi-Fi

Honestly,

SamsungMobile & SamsungUX divisions SHOULD be working with the top 3 leading developers of the following app categories ASAP:

Maps,
Notes/Reminders/similar type apps
Recording/Music playback

I close all apps and the video still running background but you can't see it so I just reboot the phone I guess...

There must be a bug...

I get random disconnect from the network as well

OT- Most of my family members have iPhones, of course I have both Samsung & iPhone😉 Now a problem I have always had when using Samsung is text messages with some iPhone users. Some of my nieces text messages go to my iPad only, not my phone(flip 6). My neighbor texts my brother and I as a group iMessage, and I only get his on my iPad. If I disable IMessage, my neighbor can’t text as a group message with my brother. Is it the setting on their phone the problem or mine?

Apps like uber, just eat, flight details which would be ideal

I mainly use it for sports but I don’t like how it’s marketed as al but I never get anything else. It has so much potential but at the moment is a poor man’s live activities.

This isn’t even Samsungs fault but developers as I’ve been told it’s open for developers to add to it

I know that when I am exclusively using Samsung, my iMessage chats convert to RCS and allow me to continue with the chats

The messages are being sent to you as iMessage, which is why you receive them on your iPad and not your Android phone. If you want text\iMessage to continue being sent to your iPad there is nothing to change. If you want the messages only coming to your Android phone you need to log out of Messages on your iPad. On the iPad in Settings -> Messages turn off iMessage using your Apple ID (email address).
Make sure your phone number is deregistered https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

For group texting to work, make sure RCS Messaging is enabled on your Android phone, and use a message app that supports RCS messaging (Google Messages). Make sure whoever texts you using an iPhone has RCS messaging enabled.

Where is the source on this?
I'm also curious. I know developers usually prefer to work on iOS apps, but I'm really surprised that not one has worked on making their app compatible with NowBar, especially since Samsung has such a strong footprint around the world.

Not sure you can really say this other than possibly from a monetary potential perspective given a supposedly richer demographic but then Android is a larger market and faster and easier to get your app published

It really depends on the app and who its targeted at :)

It's a well known fact that iOS is easier for devs because it's just one brand of phone compared to Android with several different brands. Doesn't maybe iOS apps better or anything, just the reality of it.

Thank you for the information. I am using Google messages. I should be good by signing out of imessage then, and my neighbor needs to have rcs enabled on his iPhone.
