Same. Obviously I just got mine, but Im not blown away like I thought I would be. Maybe that changes when I starting multitasking more. The hardware is beautiful but the software feels like typically One UI with a couple small add-ons for the Fold.
Multitasking is the big reason I ordered one I must admit. It's the Times where I want the bigger screen on the sofa more than anything.

Only seen a few on reddit who have theirs.. Seems they decided to suit their stock levels closer to home

Samsung underrated demand for this it seems... Rumours of 80k pre orders
looking at the site now ordering today would get an estimate delivery time of october 2/3 i was hoping that i'd get mine this friday but i'm not confident.

The big screen is amazing. Theres no getting around it. Its great and really smooth. I havent done a lot of multitasking yet which is where it will shine im sure. The little web browsing ive done it really great though and flex mode with cameras is pretty sweet.

Side note: why the hell didnt Samsung use the matte black finish on the edges of the phone on the back? The sides feel amazing but the back is a glossy mess after only using it a few hours.

Oh and yeah, the inside screen protector picks up fingerprints easily.

Same. I’m thinking while I’m out and about I’ll mainly be using the small screen. But when lounging I’ll be opening it up and using the larger display.

I received mine an hour ago. Need to do some things before I dive in. Haven't powered it on but the glass back is less slippery than I expected. Which is great. Looks sleek in black. The hinge seems great. Love the necessary pressure level to open and close.

Just got home and put the kids to bed and finally got to open this bad boy up, initial impressions:

The screen is huge, yet strangely feels small even when open. I put it up against my ipad mini 5 and the screens are virtually the same size, but the package is so small it doesn't seem like the screens would be almost the same.

The screen does not really feel like plastic. The way others and reviews kept talking about it I thought it was going to be like those old capacitive plastic screens before iphones. It's not at all, it feels like glass with a very slightly rubbery feel, well not rubbery but you can feel a bit more "drag" across the screen than glass. If you press down fairly hard there is an almost imperceptible give, slightly more give than glass, but it still doesn't feel like plastic at all. To me this is just utterly amazing that material that feels 95% like glass bends.

The crease is much more noticable than I thought based on reviews. It's something I'm going to have to get used to. Many reviewers said it stuck out at first, but after a few days wasn't really apparent so I'm hoping that's the case.

When closed it's MUCH narrower than I thought. That's a good thing in that I use my phones one handed a lot, but also a bad thing in that you lose a lot of screen real estate when it's closed.

Overall it's thicker than my iphone 11, at the hinge edge probably close to twice as thick tapering down to less than twce at the other end. The thing is that it doesn't feel twice as thick, partly because its narrow it fits perfectly in the hand. My 11 pro max feels unwieldy now, it makes me feel clumsy because of its width. When open the Fold feels incredible because now it's as thin as the iphone.

Overall the hardware feels incredibly solid and it just oozes quality. It's also a massive massive fingerprint magnet. But I cannot help thinking I'm holding the future in my hands. The future like we all felt the first time we used a glass screen on an iphone, or the first time we pulled a stylus out of a note series, or the first time we turned on an ipad or a surface pro. In my mind there is no doubt that in a few years foldables will be ubiquitous and we will be talking about tri and quad folds.

Anyhoo let me play with this thing, I've only set up my accounts but haven't really gotten into functionality yet.

OK when anyone asks why would they bother with a folding phone versus a tablet just refer to the picture below, a picture is worth a thousand words. Basically you get the screen on your right in the package on your left.

Just got mines, skipped setting it up and went right into it. Here's my initial impression.

This does not feel like a heavy phone in hand. Yes, the Fold 2 naked is heavier than my Pro Max and S20 Ultra (both with cases on), but because the phone is thicker, it really doesn't feel heavy. The weight relative to the thickness almost fooled me. I had to pick up the S20 Ultra to make sure the Fold 2 was heavier. I don't see myself having an issues holding this in my hand for a decent amount of time open or closed.

The length of this phone is slightly shorter than my S20 Ultra, which surprised me. It's the exact same length as my Pro Max.

Every inch of this phone feels premium to the touch.

The front and folding displays are beautiful. The folding display gets very bright (brighter than the front display). I wouldn't have known there was a screen protector on the folding display if it wasn't for the punch hole camera.

The crease is noticeable, until you get immersed into a video or app.

I got the Mystic Bronze color. It doesn't look pink to me as some said it would. At the most it's a very dull pink in bright light.

It's very easy and natural like to hold this unfolded with one hand, without it feeling like you're going to drop it. Just use your pinkie finger as a cradle.

The front display is very usable. The keyboard looks cramped compared to a normal sized phone, but so far I have no issues typing on it even while walking. I don't know how I feel about the split keyboard on the folding screen yet. I'm going to see if it works for me.

The camera is actually better than the S20 and S20+. No shutter lag or focus issues detected so far. Reviewing photos you just shot in full screen on the folding display is on another level compared to other phones. Taking a selfie with both the front display and main camera in front of you is amazing.

Maybe this is all in my head, but the touch input response seems super fast on both displays. It's not the refresh rate, cause it feels faster than my S20 Ultra which is on 120hz all the time. Maybe the SD 865+ makes that much of a difference?

The hinge feel solid opening and closing, fully, halfway, and etc. The back of the hinge when closed feels solid as well.

The speakers seem more than loud enough, but I only tested in on Youtube , so I can't make a good judgement of quality yet.

So far I'm loving this phone. I was scared of buyers remorse, but Samsung did an excellent job with this one. I'm going to fully set this up tomorrow.

I'll share more thoughts tomorrow. I'm honestly overwhelmed by how new this all is hardware-wise plus I haven't used Android in so long and it's very different.

I hate to say this but a case might be necessary if I keep it. That hinge is slippery.

loving the brief reviews people are giving keep it up guys must admit i'm very envious can't believe samsung dropped the ball when it comes to customers getting the phone in the uk and europe. Kinda shows they aren't really bothered about these markets which isn't a good impression to give.

If the phone isn't here by the middle of next week i'll probably cancel too many other gadgets are coming out to put up with poor customer service. The new oculus looks interesting and obviously the iphone should be out in october.

Making do with updating my apple products to ios14 at the moment before heading off to work taking there sweet time though.

Just to add something small, Samsung really put some nice screen protectors on this. They are still probably PET material but they feel quite premium. I was stressing trying to find a curved glass screen protector for the front, but I'm pretty sure I'm just going to leave the Samsung one in place. With a Dbrand on the back I'm good to go.

The crease definitely grows on you, you still see it mostly (although at just the right angle you don't see it) but your brain kind of forgets it's there.

The 120hz screen is amazing, just simply amazing. Count me in as a naysayer on higher hz, I just didn't think I would care. It's so smooth, now I understand why everyone says you will never want to go back to a lower refresh.

I wouldn’t cancel, it will be worth the wait I’m sure. Then if you decide it’s not for you then return it..

No idea when mine will arrive but will happily use my note ultra as my main phone until that point.

You keeping both screen protectors on? Normally I take them off but given what has been said I will likely keep them on for peace of mind more than anything else.

Loving all these comments and mini reviews :)

I feel like I have been vindicated as so few here had the Fold v1 no one wanted to listen to reason and clung to all the petty review comments as if cast in stone :)

Don't like to say told ya so but told ya so :D :D :D

Enjoy your Z Folds 2, still waiting for delivery

Apparently Samsung recommends they remove the internal screen protector.

Seen some say that the folded display you can remove...don’t think I will dare remove the internal display. More Peace of mind though to keep it on for the price.

Are all these slippery comments because our newbie Fold owners all picked Mystic Black ? :)

I guess you can put a skin on it will also stop the fingerprints

The Matt Bronze with Samsung's black cases I thought was a great combo

I wouldn’t recommend you take advice from people on the internet who are potentially voiding their warranty on such an expensive device.
