Saw something on reddit that if you do it on the main display when you close it you are able to get the same info just obviously smaller...not sure how true that is though.

Seems it needs to be done separately.

Shame really. I would use the folded display but on the go and to answer texts or phone calls but for me using the open display will be the main usage. Still far more useable than fold 1...maybe they do make it wider next year. They likely think it will be used not as much as to why it’s not a big deal.

just changed my pre order to o2 now they are selling it

work pays for a nice portion of the overall cost so although EE is a better network i'd be foolish to not go with o2

Whoa now. Let's not go crazy. ?
Very much depends where you are. And EE prices are not ok.
Plus O2 gives you priority. Who doesn't love free coffee every Tuesday and Wednesday.
your 100% correct it does all depend on the network coverage in your area

I do prefer EE in my area but if i choose o2 with work i get afew freebies i don't pay airtime and they pay a cash amount for a new phone each year its not the full amount but its afew hundred so it does help with my gadget obsession lol
If i choose any other network i would get zilch !! so its a no brainer

Yeah it's same for me.
I get 30% off my Vodafone monthly bill every month through employee pricing. Company I work for has offered it for as long as I can remember so it's a no brainer for me to be with Vodafone but I also run an O2 line. One is android one is iPhone haha.

My main Sim is O2 though. Always preferred their network and coverage plus I got to choose my phone number when I worked part time at CPW and my O2 number is so cool!
EE is the worst by a mile for me.

yup you seem to find alot of companies have deals with different networks its a perk and i take advanatge of it every year. we used to get the same phone for everyone i think some do but people complained and they gave us the cash option afew years ago now.

its 75 quid for 90gb but thats over 36 months thats without any discount etc

Interesting, on EE it’s £88 a month for unlimited everything plus able to do the annual upgrade as well with BT sport included as smart plan...although it should have been £110 but due to my 20% discount got it lower...

O2 is a non starter for me as signal is awful at my work

I don't find any issues on my Fold V1 maybe they changed something on V2 ?

If I recall correctly it was only the menu buttons and wallpapers etc that you could change individually the main icon sets/app draw were the same/synch
I just want to have the same user experience on both internal and external displays. Same set of icons and icon placement and wallpaper. I have scoured the settings and can't find anything. I posted on the Reddit foorum as well and no one seems to know how to do it. Seems to be a little software gap to me. Some on Reddit have said they can't get Nova to do it either.

Sounds like to have it the same on both you have to do it separately. Not ideal and a ball ache i must say.

Guess it’s going to be what i need to do to get how i want my phone.

Does anyone know of a widget I can put on my home screen for the google now feed? Would be great if I can put there without having to swipe right.

It is one of the things I love about my Pixel 4XL. Have you tried the Google News widget?

I have, but it only shows one story at a time, would prefer something that shows multiple stories and is scrollable, basically exactly what is in the google now feed but in widget form.

Yeah got to admit i wish the widget was better...how it is now isn’t ideal.

You do know you go to settings from each display to set wallpapers lockscreen etc, it's not a dual option in the menu the menu is relative to the screen you initiated from :)

Well it is on Fold V1

I do know how to set the wallpaper and icons on displays for home screens. I just don't want to have to manage 2 all the time. If I add an icon on one display I would want it to be the same on the other display as well.
To me that is a good user experience for them to be the same. Otherwise it is like managing to different phones and doing double the work.

It's only wallpapers etc that are different on my Fold V1 the icon arrangement on the app tray are identical, if I DL a new app it appears on both in same local

Yep just tried it moved an icon to a folder and it moved on both screens

Just to be clear I use 4 photos for my wallpapers 2 for lock screen and home screen on my inner display and 2 for the outer display for lock screen and home screen

I could of had them the same or any permutation

But the apps icon tray is identical and there is no different setting, but you can have different home page icons and navigation bar for inner and outer screens

Have you been testing launchers etc like Nova and it's screwed something up ?

Still using the stock Samsung launcher. I have not tried any other launcher.
But my 2 displays are not the same and changes to one do not reflect to the other. I haven't found a setting yet to make them the same.

If I add a new folder or icon to the internal display...it does not show on the external display.
If I change the wallpaper on the internal display...it does not reflect to the external display.

Yep just tried created a new folder and appears on both although different order on front screen it went to end

As I said wallpapers are differently controlled by starting settings from front screen or inner screen, but apps icons and folders should synch automatically

Maybe on the Fold1 it works that way. But so far not on the Fold 2. I am not the only one to notice this as others on reddit are reporting the same thing.

It is like I have 2 different phones. I created a new folder on the front display...opened the Fold 2 and nothing is there on the internal display.

It is odd that this isn't at least an option.

I don't think I am the only one...

Anyone that has the Fold 2....

Please test this...create a new folder on the external display... Then see if it shows on the internal display when you open the phone.
