I don't think I am the only one...

Anyone that has the Fold 2....

Please test this...create a new folder on the external display... Then see if it shows on the internal display when you open the phone.
It doesn't. I know both screens have different settings for apps. I just thought it would be an option in Settings to sync if desired. Guess not.

Maybe on the Fold1 it works that way. But so far not on the Fold 2. I am not the only one to notice this as others on reddit are reporting the same thing.

It is like I have 2 different phones. I created a new folder on the front display...opened the Fold 2 and nothing is there on the internal display.
Yep sounds like a bug, it should be same or better than the V1

One thing that slightly urks me. There's no separate rotate settings for each display. I want the cover screen not to auto rotate the home screen, but I want the folding display to auto rotate. It's not a big deal, but sometimes I forget to toggle off and on.

Same thing must be a new feature on V2 as the V1 outer homescreen does not rotate, did you check settings initiated from homescreen settings/display/homescreen ?

For those of you who are suggesting for certain features or other improvements, I highly recommend you to go into the Samsung Members app, and submit your suggestions. They actually listen. Also, since I plan on getting version 3, I'd also highly appreciate it. ?

Yea, I tried that. It sets to both screens. And I tried to change the settings from each screen to see if it made a differ, but it didn't.

does it feel sturdy enough to support the fold 2 ?
Hard to say lol feels smaller than expected but need to realise its only the front display lol the stand doesn't feel that strong in fairness feels like it could break easily

I just want to have the same user experience on both internal and external displays. Same set of icons and icon placement and wallpaper. I have scoured the settings and can't find anything. I posted on the Reddit foorum as well and no one seems to know how to do it. Seems to be a little software gap to me. Some on Reddit have said they can't get Nova to do it either.

I like having the external display different, but that's just me. You may want to try Nova Launcher, from what I hear (I forget if it was in this thread) they refuse to support the Fold. The good thing about that is you get identical launchers in both screens, although I think some said there were some issues with appearance.

OK so I think I've passed my moment of weakness where I didn't like how narrow the Fold was when closed. The more I use it the more I like it. My suspicion that using this one handed was easier is confirmed, especially typing. With my iphone 11 max I'd almost be dropping the phone just to hit the shift key. I do have fat fingers so those of you with skinny fingers are probably loving this. But any remaining gripe I may have with the narrow screen is just completely eradicated every time I open it up to that incredible tablet screen.

Battery life hasn't been super impressive, but still more than adequate. It's still a huge dust magnet, just sitting in my pocket every time I take it out I feel like it's been in an ancient tomb for decades. Don't even get me started on the fingerprints, I can't wait for them to figure out an oleophobic coating for this.

On a related note I really am digging my Galaxy Watch, I'm not seeing any compelling reason to choose my old AW over it at all. Will have to play with it a bit more, but so far it does everything my AW does.

Sweet!, It's here! Loving it so far, setting some things up now.

I'm using Lawn chair for my home screen, and everything is the same on both screens, and I actually want something different.8 columns work really well in tablet mode, but when closed everything is overlapping. Any way to set them up separately?

I finally got to try the Z Fold 2.

All I can say is wow. I am completely floored.

My expectations going in were a bit lowered after hearing some of the complainers on here. I'm going to be a bit controversial and say that most people returning the device probably just can't afford it and are looking for other ways to justify sending it back.

Some highlights:

-I barely noticed the crease. Most of the time in the well-lit store I couldn't even see it. The device was brand new, so new that I am probably the first person to use it. However, the crease was very, very shallow to my eyes. I could feel it, but I forgot it was there and felt it and that's how it reminded me it was there when looking straight on. Of course you can see it in reflections. As for the crease depth, YMMV.

-The hinge feels different than I expected. I was expecting more indents, but I didn't feel any. It has resistance to it and isn't flimsy at all. They clearly put a lot of work into it and it shows. Overall it is a bit of an engineering marvel when you consider that it's folding a huge screen.

-The front screen is immensely usable. I typed on it with ease and perfect accuracy... using the Samsung keyboard no less. I never liked the Samsung Keyboard and personally use Swiftkey. I bet it is even better with Swiftkey because I can type faster, however I did not install it.

-Another note about the front screen: going from 120Hz inside to 60Hz outside wasn't jarring at all. The animations are rendered to appear very smooth so I didn't really notice a difference between screens.

-Snapdragon 865+ speed is pretty impressive. Coupled with One UI animations the whole navigation and menu experience feels pretty futuristic on this device, and certainly premium.

-Flex mode I can see how this is kind of a gimmick. But that isn't a negative. I just don't see myself using it very often at all, not that it doesn't work well. It just is a little counter-productive to partially fold the device. I expect software features to remedy this as time goes on.

-For apps I can see that the majority are stretched out smartphone (non-tablet) versions, which will certainly be a downside to owning this cutting-edge device at this time. But it doesn't really take away from the experience, it just makes it less amazing than it possibly could be if everything was fully tablet-optimized. I expect this problem to go away within 1-2 years.

Conclusion: For the naysayers, if you are complaining the device is heavy, you knew it was heavy. This isn't news. You knew the front screen was narrow. This isn't a shock either. In my brief usage, I found the complaints about the front screen (and the device in general) to be completely overblown. If you can afford it, this is truly the future and is the polished device we've been waiting for. Are there some improvements that can be made? Yes. Honestly I can't think of many right now, since there is an ocean of difference between reading about the device and actually using it. Considering $10 million dollars couldn't buy this device a year ago, I'd say it is absolutely worth the price of admission if you can pay it without blinking.

I find myself really using the outside display quite a lot. I like it more than I thought I would. It took me about a day to get used to how narrow it was. But now I ma loving the one handed use of it :)

Bold statement saying those that are returning the device can't afford it. I returned it because I didn't think it justified the cost for my use. My bank account is doing just fine. I just decided an ipad pro made more sense for my use.

You might want to watch throwing around judgement like that chief.
