Now that some of you are a week in with the phone and have settled into it a bit, how are you feeling about it? Everyone keeping it or is anyone else returning?

Keeping mine, preparing to sell my iPhone 11 max and AW. I can't say I'm 100% happy, but readily accept that this is an extremely cutting edge phone and accept the foibles. Any annoyances melt away rather instantly whenever I open that screen up.

Keeping mines. Everyday I use it, it feels less delicate. I'm not going to get too comfortable with it though. It still feels like one drop will be it's demise.

I'll be keeping mine, in fact I just mailed in my S20 for the trade in.

I love the idea of this phone, though it's not entirely fully baked, but that seems more of a limitation on technology and Android rather than Samsung not executing.

The device needs to get thinner and lighter, the hinge needs to get thinner and it needs to close flat (not wedge shaped). The outer display needs to go edge to edge (HUGE bezel on the hinge side), the software needs to be faster in switching from outer display to inner, needs water and dust resistance, the inner display needs to be made of something more scratch resistant, the crease needs to be eliminated, and the software needs to be better optimized for a tablet like experience. Bonus points for spen support.

It has many flaws that should be fixed as this product design matures and technology catches up. But the seeds have been planted, I do not want to go back to a standard slab phone, multitasking is a dream and works better than on my ipad!. In fact, this is the first time since the iphone 3G that a phone has supplanted the iphone as my main personal line phone (my iphone is now occupying my work line).

just had a text message via o2

fold 2 will be delivered between 1.30 and 2.30 i was hoping to get notifications via the dpd app but while you can use multiple addresses you can't have more than one phone number which i can't really understand.

Looking forward to getting it and now i know what time it will arrive i can arrange to be in

324 minutes and counting lol

I'm definitely keeping mine. After using the Fold 2 for 24 hours I tried to revert to my Note 20 Ultra and iPhone but it was too late - I was already spoiled by the Fold and found that I couldn't go back.

The only thing we lack are decent alternatives to the official Samsung cases, although I've noticed that quite a few have started appearing on Amazon and eBay in the last couple of days.

My only issue is will I keep the note 20 ultra and fold 2..i do feel fold 2 and note will be too similar to keep both and I do feel once I'm used to the fold 2 I will only keep that...

As it's likely the stuff I lose with s pen and periscope lens will be available on the next fold anyway..

Will likely pick up the iPhone 12 as my work phone (12 not the pro) and fold 2 as my daily but will see

Performance-wise, my Note Ultra is a fast phone but the Fold seems faster still. Also I'm getting much better battery life on the Fold, whereas my Note needs a top-up charge during the day. I'll be returning my Note but am looking forward to a future Fold with s-pen support.

Surely anyone with a UK Note will get better performance from a SD Fold!?
Bonus right there. :)

Yeah speedtests it is faster even for SD versions.

From exynos will be a clear improvements

On the Galaxy Z Fold 2, I knew pretty quickly that I’d have to change things up. After all, it’s not like I’m going to use the dialer on the internal display. Nor will I use something like Google Photos on that outer display very often. As a result, I split my phone into two. The outer display is full of things I use on the move. Messaging apps, Spotify, smart home controls, a weather app, and that’s about it. Inside, social apps, productivity tools, and entertainment apps cover my homescreen.

In my opinion, that is the biggest advantage to this dual-display form factor.

its arrived!! now to set it up

So I ended up just taking off that screen protector, there was some dust (sand?) particles getting into those bubbles and I was afraid they would scratch the display. (I already have an appointment with a service center and they are going to install a new one next week when it comes in), and I have to say wow, feels and looks sooo much better. I also went ahead and applied an oiliphobic spray and now I don't know if I can go back to that thin, rubbery, hazy, screen protector.

There were some on reddit that removed the display protector as well. A couple noticed some drying and discoloration after a few days just an FYI....

My only hesitation with removing the inner screen protector would be the oleophobic coating wearing off. I remember reading about Fold 1 users having that issue.

looks and feels awesome the screen is gorgeous as soon as i opened it and played around i knew it was the right decision to get it

i do feel like i have to be extra careful with it and it does feel slippery in my hands at times so a case is a must have
no way would i use this without one.

It is covered with my insurance so thats a plus

Just swapping sim number over so doing abit of work while that happens then i'll be installing apps etc

initial impression
screen is the best i've seen
fingerprint sensor is very fast i'd say as fast as touch id on iphone/ipad but its been awhile since i've used that.
sound is clear and loud the crease i've hardly noticed and won't be a problem for me.

i do need to get on and get a case though which i'll do tonight

You're covered with home insurance then? EE said they don't cover it for the fold

I did look via Samsung but don't believe you can do it unless you buy from them
