My only word of caution is if you haven’t had to deal with their insurance provide Asurion in the past, do some research on others experiences getting claims fulfilled. I’ve seen numerous horror stories of interations that take multiple attempts at repair/replacing the device and any replacement is always going to be a refurbished device.

Not saying going directly through Samsung would be any better of an experience, especially considering some of the stories shared in this subforum, but I’d tend to always prefer to deal directly with an OEM vs. a third party solution, especially if the costs is nearly the same ($11.99/month for Samsung’s coverage, I believe).

Yeah that's good advice. It's $11 and includes theft/loss, and I also get to deal with a physical Verizon store instead of some heavily accented rep on the phone. It also has unlimited $29 cracked screen repairs, but I have yet to establish if the Fold 2 is an "eligible" device.

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but if you really want the best of gestures, and I really mean taking it to the next level, you should use Samsung's app, One Hand Operation+. I wouldn't be surprised if they fully integrate this into One UI some day. You'll never go back to stock Android gestures.

Nice I will check it out!!!

Well, I might have to peel off the inside screen protector because some bubbles are starting to appear in the crease. Was really hoping to keep it on for a few months.

Also, already have a pretty deep scratch on the back panel? I really underestimated how heavy this thing is and how that negatively effects durability.

Still loving the phone though.

Careful. Pretty sure a reviewer mentioned that Samsung recommends only they remove the internal screen protector. Best not to risk voiding warranty!

Has anyone gotten clarification if that's just a recommendation from Samsung or if it actually voids any kind of warranty if it's removed?

It wouldn't surprise me if they try and say that, but how can they can a screen protector being removed voids warranty. Surely they would have to state that clearly.

Canadian order placed on September 5th. Black/Gold hinge.

When ordering on samsung site, I can’t recall if the delay was 3-4 or 5-7 weeks as it had just changed when I ordered from one day to the next.

Was never given an ETA with order confirmation email as well as the invoice attached or generating invoice when tracking my order.

4 days later, on September 9th got an email from “customer service team” from samsung saying my fold2 is being made and said to allow 4-5 weeks to be delivered.

My cancel button still shows.

Spoke to a rep not that long ago through online chat on the samsung site, and he said that there are some delays on orders placed after September 3rd and those are “expected” to “ship out” 3-4 weeks from date of order. I triple confirmed that it was from day of order and not release date.

This Saturday coming will be the end of the 3rd week.

So to recap, when placing the order first was 5-7 weeks. Then 4-5 weeks based on the device being made email. And now 3-4 from rep. I personally don’t know which to believe. Just patiently hoping that it comes earlier than expected. Very very patiently waiting lol.?

Living through your experiences and feedback/pointers in the meantime lol

To my knowledge, it can only be added at the time of purchase and only if purchased through the Samsung website. I'd honestly just contact customer service. What you're seeing could very easily just be a defect of the protector not being applied 100% correctly at the factory.

If you have a Samsung store in your area, I would go there and have them remove the screen protector, and add a new one. Make sure to inspect the display before the new one is applied. Samsung has a 90 day warranty on their preinstalled screen protector.

Spoke with chat, said it wouldn't void the warranty if I remove it, but I plan on getting it replaced at my local best buy with Samsung repair center. I have no Samsung stores near me.

Yep, return it.

But I’d get a second, then third opinion on removing the front screen protector yourself (for future reference). That “independent contractor” seemed too flippant for my liking, especially for a device worth this much money.

I recall a prominent YouTuber mentioning that Samsung advised them not to remove it themselves. I’ll see if I can find the clip.

A few people on Reddit removed the inner screen protector and report no issues, makes the screen underneath feel much better from what they report. They also note much less fingerprints. I just added Verizon insurance with the $29 cracked screen protection so I think I'm going to ditch the screen protector.

grrr another well jel moment lol

if i hadn't cancelled my original EE order i'd probably be getting mine too i'm going to mention if o2 do reply to my complaint the fact that people on other networks are getting devices even for people who have ordered after me.

If it wasn't for the discount i get through o2 i'd go with a different network

There is a raffle going on in work and one of the prizes is a 'Samsung Fold'. So I bought two strips haha.
I don't know if it's a new fold, it's likely to be V1. But got to be in it to win it, right?!

So I didn't win the raffle, but a guy on my team did!
It's a fold 2 too, not the original.
He said he doesn't want it (hates Android, loves iPhone) and told me I could have it for a grand lol.

I told him it's worth a fair bit more but he doesn't want the hassle of eBay or gumtree so offer is on the table. Lol. For that price I'd be tempted to have a play and sell it on!

He knows I'm a phone geek so came straight to me via skype with the offer haha. I've told him I'd let him know later. It's not the actual device tempting me it's the price lol.

You should buy it.....then turn around and sell it and make some $$$$$. That deal would be too good to pass up!
Those kind of deals pay for the new phone habit!
