EE customers were able to pre order since it was announced so if no orders have been delivered i wouldn't be confident hopefully they will have bumped your order up because you had to cancel your original order.

You got a great deal at £77 so worth waiting for even if its not tomorrow etc and EE do seem to have better shipments from suppliers from my past experience

I'm still not wholly confident i'll get mine tomorrow stock seems to be very sparse in the uk and still waiting for the call back she did say within an hour.

It's just frustrating, I get stock is rough now but they shouldn't give you deadlines without knowing

the phone rang but only afew times and they hung up by the time i answered so i had to contact CS who told me they would be expecting stock this week.

As the previous CS had said she could see that stock had arrived and she was contacting them to make sure i would get delivery i assume i wasn't one of the fortunate ones

the email will be heading its way sometime this evening to their complaints department not about CS but just about the order process the confusion over dates and the lack of communication over when it will actually delivered i don't expect anything more than an apology but its quite frustrating. As i'm out most of the rest of the week its not the best situation to be in.

I definitely see me giving this one more year to mature then pouncing on the Fold 3. That's actually why I did AT&T Next with my Note 20, so that I could trade in for it next year.

Just got off the phone with ee. As of right now they are showing no stock on the fold2. Thats for both colours atm. He did say that samsung hasn't advised them on when to expect stock. Would be nice if samsung would offer the comp that they have given to their customers.

samsung can offer these freebies to their own customers as its their own products they will think of it as goodwill payments and good publicity and it'll be cost price they will absorb not retail price.

o2 or ee won't even consider it lol they can just blame samsung they may even get inducements to get allocated stock back to samsung. On the o2 website it still says 2/3 days delay for delivery so thats wednesday for new deliveries by my calculations.

Anyone else find the gesture for task manager really slow and is hard to register? I'm coming from iOS where swiping up and over to get to the task manager was always buttery smooth, but I'm having a hard time getting this gesture to register on the Fold. It feels more of a software issue, sometimes it stutters but most times it just seems it doesn't recognize my gesture or mistakes it for a swipe up. Sometimes I can swipe up/over half a dozen times or more before it registers. Seems to be an issue on both screens, but more so on the outer screen. All other gestures seem to register well, although left swipe to go back does seem a bit stubborn at times, but nowhere as bad as task manager.

Also Face ID really kind of sucks. Forget about wearing sunglasses, a hat, or being in a semi dark room. iOS was able to overcome all those issues. I'm not griping on iOS versus Android, it's just hard to get out of the habit of Face ID.

Can't comment on fold yet but on note ultra it's far smoother since I used good lock no idea why as it's should make no difference

Two of the main electronics retailers in Finland today have advertised the Fold 2 for 2099 euros. That is not chump change  . Of course it doesn't help that the VAT is 24%. It would be interesting to know how many they end up selling here.

I think the PhoneArena review made a point that I also noticed in retrospect. It's a bit cumbersome to close the device because it's pretty thick and I found myself needing to press both thumbs inside the screen instead of using the edges of the device. Not a huge deal of course but it makes for a less elegant experience if you are closing the phone throughout the day.

The face unlock on the Fold is far behind Face ID for sure.

Yeah, face unlock for the Fold 2 (and all Samsung devices) isn't as sophisticated or as good of an experience as FaceID. But FaceID is the primary and only unlock method on new iphones. At least Samsung devices give you the option of fingerprint and/or face unlock.

Anyone have this on Verizon? I'm considering their Total equipment coverage for $11, says unlimited $29 cracked screen repair for eligible phones but I'm not able to find if the Fold 2 is eligible for that.

(PS: I don't need lectures on how insurance isn't necessary :) )

The beauty really is in having both.

My only word of caution is if you haven’t had to deal with their insurance provide Asurion in the past, do some research on others experiences getting claims fulfilled. I’ve seen numerous horror stories of interations that take multiple attempts at repair/replacing the device and any replacement is always going to be a refurbished device.

Not saying going directly through Samsung would be any better of an experience, especially considering some of the stories shared in this subforum, but I’d tend to always prefer to deal directly with an OEM vs. a third party solution, especially if the costs is nearly the same ($11.99/month for Samsung’s coverage, I believe).

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but if you really want the best of gestures, and I really mean taking it to the next level, you should use Samsung's app, One Hand Operation+. I wouldn't be surprised if they fully integrate this into One UI some day. You'll never go back to stock Android gestures.

well my email of complaint has been sent i was holding off to see if delivery might be tomorrow but sadly it still says processing and awaiting stock. The auto email did say i should get a reply in 5 days it'll be interesting to see how they reply.

on a different topic the guardian review was glowing they can see the potential of foldable phones and that this form factor is the future and will keep getting better and better. I wonder how apple will respond and when.
