The modern smartphone essentially was not invented until the iPhone in 2007. Before then, the only widely used smart device was a Blackberry. And that series had a physical keyboard and a small screen.
I will say it again, no other previous smartphone has been as vulnerable to the elements as the Fold series. You either agree or disagree. That's your choice.
This really has nothing to do with 'good practices'. I keep harping on the beach example as I believe the sand warning comes both on the screen plastic and also a warning during the booting process. If I recall correctly.
There is nothing I can do in my normal usage that would allow me to use the Fold freely on a beach with the exception (of course) of using a pouch the entire time.
This will be an issue for some, and not so much for others. And I get that. But please stop this narrative you keep pushing that the Fold does not provide new and unique issues for smartphone owners. Again, there is nothing from the past that properly compares to it when you factor in both the hinge and the very sensitive inner screen.
