I love that skin, it's on my surface pro and ipad mini 5. I actually have an order in, but I F-ed up and ordered with slickwraps which takes months to ship.
it's my favorite.. best grip.. I ordered from Slickwraps which finally shipped... they are the slowest.. I will keep this one on for awhile... I have two Sopiguard here as backups too
PS: I sort of resolved my RCS issues. I actually got RCS to work on an unlocked phone on Verizon, but on Google Messenger which I really disliked, and it still didn't resolve the issue with iphones. But then I found that Samsung Messenger has Link Sharing, which just sends a link. I know it was suggested to use google sharing, but in practice it was really weird and clunky. Link Sharing works really well though. I must say that I doubt I could deal with all the Android foibles if it wasn't for Samsung.
I'm on Verizon too but I only use Google messenger... works perfect but sadly not too many friends use it and most rest are iPhone..
I decided to take my eBay cover off and the front display wasn’t great. Felt it got in the way of using it.

i may get a dbrand skin at some point and keep the front clear....will see though.
they all do the same in the front.. now I know why Samsung made one side... edge panel doesn't trigger especially... I also have the Aramid coming next week..
True.. because it already has a lip. Putting a case to it just adds problems for maneuvering around the OS. As you just mention a skin is the best option. I just wish there was a skin that can protect the edges as well. I remember when I had the iPhone 5.. dBrand found ways to protect everything.
I've seen peeps post up on reddit about skin clear for the hinge but I'm leery on it... I like the sides look of the phone and when I'm not using case... brushed look is nice...

The Aramid is what I have on my phone now.. Works well for me. Certainly a good stand

Brushed looks nice! But when it comes down to it.. the edges is what I look to protect the most, well.. besides the screen. Right now... I’ve been careful with taking it out in public. Making sure no keys or anything in my pocket before putting the Fold in it.

At the end of the day.. I’m just looking to protect the phone.. and when it goes into my pocket. The edges and the back is what I need skin.

yeah makes sense... I'm always the same with phones... the few times Ive had drops with prior phones is when I throw in shorts like basketball ones and don't pay attention when sitting down... I'm more mindful lately with not making this mistake haha

I learned the hard way, I only buy workout shorts with zippers now, lol. I've actually trained myself whenever I take the phone in/out of my pocket to grip it firmly and be conscious of it. I've gone naked for years now and no incidents.

Haha good stuff.. I did add more shorts with the zippers that's funny... Overall I'm using this phone the same as others...

Judging by reddit, it seems like finding a case thats in stock and is actual decent for this phone is a real problem. Samsung cases dont really protect the phone, Spigen cases dont fit well, and besides that its basically down to the usual Chinese knockoffs. I wonder if there will be some delayed releases by some of the other big case manufacturers since this phone seems to be selling better than expected.

Yeah.. that's what I'm hoping for. I absolutely enjoy using it... its one of the best phones I've owned. It kind of brings me back to the original iPhone days... as soon as i took that iPhone out i simply marveled at the craftsmanship. Similar to how i feel about this Fold and all I want to do at this point is make sure its protected.

But right now the options just isn't there. However, got to take into account COVID is causing some delays.

I've always used Spigen cases and I think they're great. But by all accounts the Fold 2 cases they make have fit issues. I'm reading a lot of people saying the front cover moves around a lot and also the usb-c cutout isn't big enough for any connector besides the cable Samsung includes.

Is the front and back cover connected? I don't want a front cover.

its two separate parts

one covers the back and does away with the camera wobble on a surface
the other bit you slide along the front this covers just the edges.

I've tested it using whatsapp/messaging and theres no difference with or without it on overall i'm happy with the spigen thin obviously everyone is different but it serves its purpose until something better comes along hopefully in the next few months.

I'm really impressed with the battery life. Today I disconnected from Android Auto because Waze really sucks on it. Without power, with brightness at 90% or so and Waze running for 35 minutes it only drained 8%.

That's awesome... I've not had much opportunity to really tax the phone.. Tomorrow I have a scheduled appointment with car so it will be good test day

Has anyone took the folding display screen protector off yet? If so, how it working out?

I don't think I'm taking mine off, ever! I've read comments saying that it's a better feel with it off. But I rather not have to deal with the micro-scratches.

However, I wouldn't mind finding an alternative screen protector.
