You could try sending google photos links for you videos.

You should also try Verizon messenger, ui isn’t too pretty, but it gives you the option getting all your messages on other platforms, I have Verizon messenger installed on my iPhone, iPad, and iMac as well as my fold.

Also, if you family is also on Verizon, they can also install that to get the full quality videos.

I used to use Verizon messenger years ago, it wasn't bad at all. I may give it a shot, I can only assume that RCS at least works with it since it's Verizon's app.

I‘m on AT&T... and I was using Google Message App for awhile. I was drawn to Google app for the RCS aspect of it. But when I found out Samsung Message App does it too, I had choices. However, what sets them both apart is the UI as you just mention.

Samsung App has a better UI for the inner display of the Fold, And I can I tweak the bubbles however I see fit with Theme Park app.

Plus Samsung messenger displays on the GW. I'm not sure if Google or Verizon do, I read a lot that they don't but maybe they have updated them since then. I'm going to try them out this weekend.

Seems like it's gone quiet/off topic a little in here. Everyone still loving their phone? Any issues those of you who have removed their screen protectors?

The finger sensor gesture for the notification panel is super sensitive. Brought it down and up my mistake too many times. Might disable it.

No issues here, had my ebay case arrive so got bumper on the front for more protection. Not perfect but was only a tenner

Absolutely enjoying the phone.. I’ve created over 50 wallpapers specifically for the Fold. If anyone is interested they can PM.

Has the new phone luster worn off or is the Fold a transformative phone for you?

It's a transformative device for me, that's for sure. Just sold my iPhone, my AW and iPad mini 5 are for sale. The Fold is even good enough for me to overlook the glaring defects Android still has after all these years I've been away. But on some level part of me can't wait until Apple releases one of these so I can go back.

I'm always digging these teardown vids..

That is so cool. It's good to know that you can't fully remove the plastic layers and will never really be able to touch glass, makes me feel less badly about keeping the crappy inner screen protector.

I'm also wondering if that back cover can be made to be transparent. I have warm fuzzy memories of pulling the back cover off my Note 5 and scraping off the material to make it a transparent cover.

You could always go with the Dbrand "Teardown" skin... not quite the same as actually doing it to your device but can be pretty cool if you're into this aesthetic.

I was pining for that skin until I saw it on a JRE video, it looked super cheap. I guess I have to see it in person, but if it just looks like a sticker then it's not for me.

Did anyone verify if removing the inner screen protector voids the warranty? I just finally figured out how to add Samsung care and it makes me more brave in terms of ripping that inner screen protector off.

Good question. I always assumed they were the same quality/thickness as the standard Dbrand skin but I've never purchased a teardown one to compare.

PS: I sort of resolved my RCS issues. I actually got RCS to work on an unlocked phone on Verizon, but on Google Messenger which I really disliked, and it still didn't resolve the issue with iphones. But then I found that Samsung Messenger has Link Sharing, which just sends a link. I know it was suggested to use google sharing, but in practice it was really weird and clunky. Link Sharing works really well though. I must say that I doubt I could deal with all the Android foibles if it wasn't for Samsung.

I decided to take my eBay cover off and the front display wasn’t great. Felt it got in the way of using it.

i may get a dbrand skin at some point and keep the front clear....will see though.

Never thought to use Link Sharing for sending photos or videos... seems like a smart thing to do from now on. However, I wish Apple could get on board with using RCS.. only way that could happen is if government intervention.

The perfect case is going to be tough to find for this device.

Yeah i don’t think any front cover will feel or look good as it will just get in the way of the display...even swiping up and texting is a pain.

True.. because it already has a lip. Putting a case to it just adds problems for maneuvering around the OS. As you just mention a skin is the best option. I just wish there was a skin that can protect the edges as well. I remember when I had the iPhone 5.. dBrand found ways to protect everything.
