Bleh, they were offering $400 for my Pixel 3xl, still offering that much if I get a Note 20. But for the Fold 2 they are only offering $150, WTF?

I’ll wait until it’s confirmed on Verizon’s site but thanks!!

Plus how do I preorder it??
I signed up before they went live through the Reserve button on Samsung.com that's the only way I knew how. I'd recommend starting there. Good luck!

2.000$ is the same price the Fold 1 had right?

I think Samsung right now is in a great position. They are making the best phones, with a lot of variety and new form factors, like Fold 2 or Z Flip. S20 and Note 20 line are also very high end with best in class designs.

Then you have their mid-range lineup with phones like the A71 which I personally own and think is excellent for a mid-range.

Samsung has the most exciting phones right now, and their software is better than ever.

I hated Samsung years ago, but they are killing it in the last 2 years.
Many disagree with this & say they’re out of touch with the market right now (with their flagships anyway), due to charging more in a Covid-impacted world.

Anyone not willing to pay the entry price, this device isn't for you. Stick with your regular flagship devices. This device is still very niche, and ultra premium. You gotta pay to play. I suggest, wait a till Gen 5, it'll be more mainstream. For everyone else, enjoy.

I still don't really understand this device. As a phone, I mean.

The front screen still looks too cramped to be able to send a text quickly without making typing mistakes, and the open device seems too large to be able to quickly tap a text out too?

And how does it handle Instagram and the like when open? I'm guessing there are black borders? Or does it fill the screen?

The front screen is only about 10mm narrower than an iphone 11 pro max, should be plenty of room to send texts and such.

OK got my order in, first responder 10%, $100 off for cancelling order and got the GW3 and ear buds with taxes $1933. Bummed they only gave me $150 for the pixel, but the other stuff offset it. I will almost definitely sell the watch on swappa, Tizen and no LTE really doesn't do it for me and it's kind of ugly, that should get me closer to $1500.

Now the slog to switch from Apple's ecosystem starts, have to figure out a watch but have no idea where to start. I hear that Tag Heuer one is pretty nifty.

How did you get the order in? I go to Samsung all it will let me do is "reserve now"

Jumped in with a preorder as well. Getting the Duo about a week before, and will try this one as well. And keep which ever one works best for me. Pretty excited for both of these and too see which one I prefer.

I think you have to reserve it then you get an email with a link to pre order it. Technically we aren't supposed to be able to pre order until 12:01 am tomorrow (Sep. 2), but it looks like they are letting those who "reserved" it pre order.

How exactly does that "$100 cancelling" trick work? Do you have to place a new order or do they apply it to your current order?

You have to completely place the order, put in your CC and everything. Then AFTER you place the order go to your orders and you can cancel each item, cancel the Fold 2 and it will ask you why. You put in that you found it cheaper, and I'm not sure what works but another user said Amazon or BB so I put in BB and it worked. You will still get charged the full amount, but then they will at the same time refund you $100.
