Couple fold 2 shots straight from the camera that a youtuber posted on twitter.

You have to completely place the order, put in your CC and everything. Then AFTER you place the order go to your orders and you can cancel each item, cancel the Fold 2 and it will ask you why. You put in that you found it cheaper, and I'm not sure what works but another user said Amazon or BB so I put in BB and it worked. You will still get charged the full amount, but then they will at the same time refund you $100.
Awesome, thanks. Did it, and worked!

This phone looks legit. $2k price isn't bad. Imagine buying a $1k phone and a $1k tablet.

I like the mini laptop orientation, but it would’ve been better with a flush camera, as the only way to use it this way to avoid the massive camera bump, is to rest it on the outer screen side ?

Got my pre-order in, I really feel foldables are the future of smartphones.
I went with the Fold 2 over the Surface Duo for the camera and outside display.
I was concerned the outside display would be too narrow to be functional. But after watching some hands on videos it looks to be alright.

What do you recommend for insurance? AT&T or 3rd party?

I had a pretty good experience with AT&T even though it costs. I'm pretty sure the Fold 2 comes with one screen replacement within a year (not sure if it's free or $149)

I'm worried about dropping the phone and it stops working more so than just a screen breaking. Feel like insurance for a $2000 device is a must.

If I go the AT&T route you recommend the $9 plan?

It's $149. Samsung does offer their own extended protection, Samsung Care+ beyond that.

Do you recommend that over AT&T?

No first hand experience using it but in general, I prefer to deal with the OEM vs. a third party. I've heard so many horror stories about getting assistance via any of the wireless carriers, who themselves I believe contract this service out to third parties like Assurant or Asurion (I believe this is who AT&T uses). Also, I think deductibles are higher via the carriers and you're almost always getting refurbished devices.

If Samsung's version works anywhere close to as well as AppleCare, I'd go with Samsung. According to their terms, with Samsung Care+, screen replacements are only $29 and any other repairs/replacements are $99. Sounds vaguely familiar....? ;)

On UK site still no free gifts...

Does say if you have s20 ultra trade in is £600 which is decent so wondering if note 20 ultra will be similar next year thats when I will be tempted if it has an s pen

I just want s pen and periscope lens but fold will be the future so I will get the fold just not yet

Looking forward to all your thoughts though

I have to agree with Dave2D...can’t see the Fold having an S-Pen until there is some significant break through in materials technology. An S-Pen will scratch the hell out of any of these foldables. The ultra-thin glass is delicate enough in its own right but it requires additional soft layers that wouldn’t take kindly to an S-Pen. The Fold 2 has its own warning about touching it with anything pointy or even your finger tip.

Think you’re going to be waiting a while if that’s your requirement.

Thank you very much. I will sign up for Care+ once I receive my Fold 2 if I decide I want to keep it.

I just pre-ordered via AT&T. No option to pick up at my local store sadly. Not crazy about it being shipped to my home. Perhaps I can divert the package to a pick-up center once in transit.

I did AT&T Next as I will probably want the Fold 3 next fall.

This is the most excited I've been about a new smartphone in a very long time. I still have a lot of questions that need to be answered once I demo the phone. Hate to leave the iPhone for many reasons but I feel the hardware has gotten so stale compared to the Fold 2.
