I placed my order less than 5 minutes after preorders started. I hope you drop your XSM-SG-512 as soon as you take it out of the box and it shatters.
I ordered 9/14 at VZW store around 11 am. Signed up as new customer, XS Max silver and XS Max gold, both 64gb. Got the BOGO deal for $700 off over 24 months. Order showed silver 9/21 and gold 10/10 - so in their system the order shows processing for 10/10 shipment date. Last evening they hit my credit card for tax on one of the phones. But nothing since.... no email or text so I'm stuck till they ship. The gold XS Max are so popular I'm hoping they can get it before 10/10.
My device it is on its way in Shenzhen, China.
UPS tracking says "The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release." "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time"
Anybody knows how long does it usually take to leave customs? Apple still says delivery on the 25th

While a true statement, not entirely accurate in this preorder round. My order is at 0004 and won’t be here until next week.
Correct. The delivery date is more dependent on which iPhone was ordered. I know many people who ordered the Xs Friday evening and it's being delivered tomorrow. If you order a phone in high demand the wait will be longer. Assume any Max with 256mb or 512mb to be in high demand (gold in particular).

That new 12:30 scan just showed up in the last 5 minutes. The 11 scan showed up like 8 hours ago
That dosent make since tho it left then arrived at the same city? Ughhh i was hoping for a Saturday delivery
Also, I’ll add there has been a UPS flight that left Zhengzhou for Incheon Airport in Seoul each weekday at about 5 pm China Standard Time which I believe would be 5 am EDT Friday morning. It’s been UPS217.
My order status still says prepare to ship. I can't even cancel my order and try walk-in tomorrow. I'm on iUP which complicates things. Last year, on X launch date, the Apple Store near me still had X in stock until late afternoon. Oh well...
So does this mean that the 11:00pm scan will catch the flight to korea tomm afternoon? Dammit, my best buy has a couple of them sitting.. Wondering if i just go in, pick them up and return the apple shipments once they arrive.
After looking at others post the times are the same...I know I know....newbie..lol

That would be my guess (remember that it is tomorrow afternoon in China; Friday morning in the US) based on tracking in the Apple.com purchase thread and flights the past few days from ZZ to ICN.
Mine is also still preparing to ship. it’s been there for two days now and I ordered 30 minutes into pre-orders with a confirmation email at xx:37am. I am devastated that there’s no movement and hope I get it by Monday like everyone elseThis sucks - my wife's phone shipped, my phone still is shipping in progress.. WHY!
