I think I was way outside the window for decent delivery date, but maybe we will be surprised. Many people seem to say that their shipments came in sooner than they expected though. Hopefully a Saturday or Monday delivery is still a possibility.

I think I was way outside the window for decent delivery date, but maybe we will be surprised. Many people seem to say that their shipments came in sooner than they expected though. Hopefully a Saturday or Monday delivery is still a possibility.
I ordered the day of, i tried to get on to order after midnight but the site was updating...anyway I didn’t pull the trigger till that afternoon..2:30pm central time..my location is southeast iowa...received the same shipping date Sept 28- October-5, sim-free 64gig space grey IPhone Max. My credit card hasn’t been charged yet and it’s still processing as far as Shipping status goes. This is my first time ordering on launch day. Thought about canceling and picking it up, but the nearest Apple store to pick up is in St.Louis(155miles away) so I’ll just wait and hope the dates move up. I guess at the worse I’ll have it by October 5th at the lastest maybe September 28 at the earliest.. if it arrives by the 24th like some have suggested, well that would be awesome!

Previous pre-orders for me have always come before the predicted delivery..
I think by the latest, we will all get charged Friday and get them sometime this week.

I am in the same boat, except I ordered at 10 PM CST. So I can't really complain. Just haven't pre-ordered a phone in so long that I forgot how competitive it was.
Very competitive! The people that make this difficult all already own iPhone X and just want the new up and coming lol

Similar to most here. I wanted the Apple Watch more so I completed that order first then my iPhone second. If I ordered the iPhone first, I would be getting it this Friday. At least, I get my watch this week.
I'm planning to show up at a local Sprint store (we have no apple store here) first thing in the morning on Friday if I don't see movement by then. hopefully I will have luck there.
If you use IUP can you go into the store Friday morning, buy it via IUP at the store, and then cancel your IUP order?
Pretty sure you have to cancel your iUP order first or the system won’t let you upgrade via iUP as it’ll say upgrade pending.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't do IUP in any carrier store. Only through an Apple store or through Apple online.

I DID pre order early. The very MOMENT the store let me in. Had my confirmation email 6 minutes after the store was available, and STILL got bumped to a later delivery. Grrrr...
That's so frustrating! Hopefully dates are moved up.
Surely you'll be one of the first.
Apple reps often give bad info. Your card is charged when they have a device assigned to you. At that point, it will most likely be sitting in China and you can start seeing it if you track by reference with UPS (might take several hours after being charged to see in UPS).
