Picked one up at the Partridge Creek Apple Store in Michigan. They are not on the shelf and you must ask an employee!

I learned they had some by using the Apple Chat on apple.com and asking them to check if they had any stock first.

Immediately cancelled my online order. Good luck all!

Are y'all checking too early?

The manager at the store here yesterday told me they don't get supply until afternoon - and to check between 2-4. When I did, the box just arrived and I got mine directly from it.

I just bought a pencil at the Michigan Ave store in Chicago. They had 4 or 5 left in the shelf as of 5 minutes ago. I didn't see any keyboards.

Skokie, IL had 9 this morning. None by the time I could get there. (Thanks 3-HR work meeting!)

:(

Seeing this is so depressing. Makes those two, failed in-person inventory checks feel like the biggest waste of time.

Jetfire, the Apple Store in Kenwood does have some, they can't hold them, if you can get there soon and pick up an extra one I will definitely meet you in Cincy somewhere and buy it off you. I'm stuck at work until 4:30.

I managed to pick up a Pencil today in the Glasgow Buchanan Street store but I think it was the only one they received and I only got it because the business team called me after I spoke to them last week.

I wasn't rude or demanding, but was treated as an ugly unwanted step child
Neither was I. Very polite, asked how they we're, and always said I appreciated then checking for me. Long as your not rude they will be less upset about being asked the 30th time. But Apple did this to their own staff.

Went to the Bellevue Square store today as soon as they opened.

First person was all, "Oh, I'm sure we can help you today, let me check", next person laughed and said "Ordering online is the fastest."

I disputed it, and on my way out, another employee told me that shipments come in around noon, and then suggested I should order online for in-store pickup. Obviously not an option.

He also said that the keyboard is a "unicorn," and he had yet to see one in the wild beyond their demo kiosks...

I am very frustrated about that one sentence "that I should order online for in-store pick up "this is by far the biggest miss informed thing that the employees at the Apple Store are repeating.

Fun, by the time I'm able to get there at 6 pm I'm sure they'll all be on Ebay

I always do the same, I thank them even if they treated me like garbage. (I know how bad working in retail can be)
At this point I'm thinking about just returning the iPad and getting something else. Apple has always been top notch with customer service along with all their employees, but now it's like they all drank some jerk-juice.

K.

I checked both the Houston Galleria store and Highland Village, they don't have any and none were in their shipment. The Highland Village store told me they receive shipments of 1-2 when they get them and they go instantly.

so HV store got the shipment today and sold out?

c'mon LA, speak up! :)

a comment on those fleabay auctions: there are tons of them on there now and supply is more than demand.. next week/black friday they will be had for cost...

Just returned from the Century City Apple store where there was about 5 or 6 pencils (as of roughly 11 am). I only picked up one, as I'd feel bad hoarding them, even to re-distribute like Robin Hood. If anyone on this board is in the area though, check it out.

I just picked one up at the Hillsdale Mall location in the CA Bay Area. 5 left when I left, in the 15 mins I was there I was the only person to get one. Better hurry though, lunch time is coming.
