Both the Skokie and North Michigan Ave stores in Chicago had a few as of 12pm
You might be able to make it up to Dayton and get one haha. idk how many they have left but they had a decent amount at 2.how did you get one? I DM you
Now that I heard it firsthand from you when we call to order the Apple pencil or keyboard on the automated service it ask you if it's for home or business use. I was a little concerned that they may May tailor towards more business oriented people, to get them their accessories since they are most likely the ones using them. The only thing that disappoints me there is that because this is such a new product not all business people are wanting to go out and buy this immediately and are awaiting for better apps geared towards the iPad Pro. But I am very glad that you you were as persistent as I have been in the past and were able to get one for yourself.
The only way we are going to get a hold of an Apple pencil or keyboard is by calling ahead and checking more than once daily if you are able to do so
how did you get one? I DM you tooSeeing how hard a time people are having here I picked up an extra Pencil that I will sell at cost (incl. tax, shipping, and PayPal fee). DM me if interested.
I don't know how to DM as I don't see that option when clicking on your name but I am interested! I'll buy it off you!
Dayton is the Greene store right? that's a good 45 minutes for me so I'll loose 2 hours. I already lost an 45 minute going to Kenwood and back. I'm at work testing a unit so I really can't leave until later. You might be able to make it up to Dayton and get one haha. idk how many they have left but they had a decent amount at 2.
Yea thats the one. I bet they will randomly sell out. I don't think there are a lot of pro users up here with iPad pros so i think i demand is much smaller than Cincyhow did you get one? I DM you too

When I called about 12:40 PM there was no mention of Skokie having any inventory only Michigan Avenue so there is a chance it was sold out by the time you got thereSkokie had zero as of 12:26 (unless they lied to me when I went in).

I feel like looking for the Apple pencil and keyboard is like playing whack a mole you don't know when they will pop up and they disappear just as quickly
It's still just mind boggling to me that so many people want it store shipments are selling out so quickly. This has to mean that random people in the store are also buying them. I don't think the stylus is such a niche product anymore - Apple might have sparked an interest in people who never cared about them before.
Thanks for confirming Skokie is out, I live in the city but work in Evanston so I was about to waste time heading over there after work - now I can avoid suburban traffic hell.
Think I'm going to work in the downtown office next week since it seems like Michigan Ave is getting them pretty regularly - my office is right down the street like two blocks away.
If stores are getting a handful, it doesn't take much to sell out. That said, there is probably pent up demand for an official Apple Pencil because traditional stylus accessories for older iPads have been pretty common since day 1.Yea, I'm really surprised that there are that many iPad Pros being bought, and people able to (and lucky enough to) be there so soon after they get the Pencils in...plus wanting to buy them. I wonder if scalpers are scooping them up?
Northbrook had them Tuesday, and Skokie today. I missed both.

I might try and check the store in Dayton to see if they have any today.
Dayton has some but they aren't on the shelf you have to ask an associate for one because they have a tendency to "walk"
