Awesome it sounds like lots of people are having luck now - supplies may finally have stabilized.

I don't even see it available for pick up in my area.. Fort Worth.

18-24 of December, wow. My apple store order still says 20-30 of November. If that ships and I get both next week happy to give to someone else for cost+shipping with a longer lead time vs returning one.

No definitely not. I tried in store pickup for Best Buy, but I wasn't able to make it to the end. My order was cancelled since they had apparently sold out. Still waiting on my online order from Apple to at least begin to prepare for shipment, although I doubt I'll see any movement since my dates are November 20 - November 30, and I've seen many with November 19 dates who have yet to ship.
 
Just got pickup confirmation at the Best Buy in Cambridge side. Cancelled my order. Going to pick it up after work. Have until Sunday to pick it up but I'm not taking chances.

Well a Best Buy store in Portland had one in stock, so I just reserved one there. I'll sign off from this thread unless I notice some at Pioneer Place, in which case I'll post a PSA.

Good Morning Tim,

I ordered the pencil on 3AM of November 11. At the time of writing, my pencil is still in the "processing" phase of shipment. My ETA is (yesterday) Nov 19 - Nov 27.

I have no estimated ship date & Apple support is unable to provide further information regarding my shipment.

Apple is currently selling the Pencil at physical stores to walk in customers.
I am also seeing 3rd party retailers (Best Buy) sell the pencil in their stores. Through their online inventory system, I can actually locate an Apple Pencil at a physical Best Buy store. Something I cannot do with Apple’s website at this time.

I am confused how I ordered direct from Apple, yet my order is not being processed, but sales through other channels are being filled.

Was I in error waking up at 3AM to place my order on November 11?

Should I play Apple Pencil Lotto and visit my local Apple stores on a daily basis?

Should I continue to request help though online support and by calling the support phone number? Neither of these methods have been able to provide further help or info regarding my order.

Any further information or help is greatly appreciated.

Just so you know. If you send this to Tim, it will be read (probably not by Tim) and you will get a response reasonably quickly. Include your contact info. On other launches I have sent email like this when Ive felt mistreated, and I have always gotten a response, and sometimes they will take care of the issue for you.

Well I just landed at PDX with a reservation at a Best Buy store that we literally flew over during the approach. I managed to go back in time 2 hours to 10:29.
 
I really wish Angela would train her staff. Went into the Frisco Tx store and of course they had nothing. The sales person said check on line at weird times for inventory.

I had to educate her that you can't even see the in store pickup option or that in store pickup is not available.

Just left there zero in store and no more shipments today. I'm so furious is considered stealing a demo model. But someone else already had

mind telling me the zip you used to search? their inventory system is weird and changing availability when I put in different zip codes that are the same town.

The Best Buy in blossom hill San Jose has in store pick up so I won't be going to valley faire after all.

Sounds like it worked out better for you. Don't have to pay sales tax here in Oregon! And i'm assuming its the Jantzen Beach store? If its the Cascade Station one, you are in more luck because its right next to the airport, Jantzen beach is tougher to get to and on a bad stretch of freeway. Absolutely avoid it during rush hour especially on a friday.

Oh wow. Finally able to order one for in-store pickup! Waiting on the email telling me I can come get it now!

Now just need to find a Smart Keyboard
 
Does anyone have Angela's e-mail? Not that it really matters. I'm sure she is too busy conjuring up new ways to destroy the customer experience even more than to read her e-mails.

Got one pencil from bestbuy website. Blossom hill, CA bestbuy. Ready to pickup now!!

No smart keyboard so far. Will go check in store when picking up my pencil.
 
My search is over! Picked it up from Best Buy during lunch. Wow, unfortunately it feels somewhat anticlimactic as my iPad doesn't arrive until next week - still sitting in some container in Hong Kong. Guess I'd rather have the Pencil first if anything!

Good luck to all - I'm going to miss this thread, but time to go cancel my Apple order.

I don't know how many attempts you made but you might want to keep trying if just the one. Mine showed no stock, then stock, then no stock, then I got in my cart and called the store to confirm stock before finalizing the order.

Jansen Beach. I just picked it up. No traffic, but it was a roundabout way to get there. Off to Pioneer Square next to get my iPad Pro!
