I find it odd that Best Buy has in store pick up... But  hasn't officially made it available just yet. I won't be driving just to find that they are no longer available... I'll have to wait until someone acknowledge that they have them available at my nearest store.

University Park Village... Fort Worth.

Hey it sounds like your in ft worth. I just checked Best Buy and looks like the Heritage Trace store in Ft Worth has them for pickup

just hit refresh and saw downey! yeah im in Hollywood but id rather make the trip to one place that has them for sure than to drive around wasting time and petrol to troll apple stores!!

I really wish Angela would train her staff. Went into the Frisco Tx store and of course they had nothing. The sales person said check on line at weird times for inventory.

I had to educate her that you can't even see the in store pickup option or that in store pickup is not available.

Have you had any luck? Found some stock at my nearest Best Buy store

Just checked the Walnut Creek Apple Store no such luck. They told me that they got 60 pencils in yesterday but quickly sold out looks like I'll be trolling the store today in hopes of another shipment. Any news for the rest of the bay?

Sounds like it worked out better for you. Don't have to pay sales tax here in Oregon! And i'm assuming its the Jantzen Beach store? If its the Cascade Station one, you are in more luck because its right next to the airport, Jantzen beach is tougher to get to and on a bad stretch of freeway. Absolutely avoid it during rush hour especially on a friday.
Jantzen Beach. I just picked it up. No traffic, but it was a roundabout way to get there.

I just picked up the iPad Pro at Pioneer Place. The rep didn't know if they had Pencils. If they did, they are in back as there is no obvious place in front for them. I didn't press since I already had one.

Does anyone have Angela's e-mail? Not that it really matters. I'm sure she is too busy conjuring up new ways to destroy the customer experience even more than to read her e-mails.
How again is this Angela's fault if production can't make enough? No matter what she does someone is going to be angry. If she prioritizes online orders people would be complaining about how she is ruining the in store experience. If she prioritizes in store it's the opposite. It sounds like shipments are becoming more frequent, so within a few weeks this is likely not an issue anywhere.

I think what many people are upset about is the way stores are handling it, plus the lack of personal pickup (which is the much bigger problem). I have been calling stores ever since the first reports of stock, and on multiple occasions I was told they had stock. I left work on my lunch to drive to an Apple store, because the manager told me they had almost 10 and I should be fine, but he absolutely can't sell me it over the phone or hold it. 25 minutes drive later, nope they sold all of them, tough luck.

It's basically been stock-check-roulette, then you better damn well hope you live next-door to the store or you're ****ed.

After reading the new posts in this thread, I checked the nearby Best Buy and their website said the one near my house had some. Sent my wife over (I'm stuck at work). It took her a while to find someone who knew what they were looking for -- typical for BB -- but I texted her the BB SKU number from their website and apparently they were able to find it. Hallelujah!

I'll cancel my online order with Apple.com when I get home and confirm its working.

Edit: Interestingly, after my wife bought the one she grabbed from the one local store that BB's website had them, the website is now reading that there are none within 250 miles of my zip code. Damn they went fast. Either that, or that single store received a single Pencil. So frustrating.

Jantzen Beach has an Apple Store??

EDIT: NVM, I guess you meant the BB there. Can't believe BB's are getting any Pencils at all while the Apple Stores are still out of stock and online orders are still 4 weeks out. I'm feeling a bit salty.

Just left the Louisville BB. They had a box come in earlier, and within a few minutes somebody bought the entire box.

The Apple Store didn't have any as of 3:15EST.

Nothing at local best buys but they shipped one of my two ordered pencils!! Ridiculous that APPLE couldn't ship my midnight order before they did!
