Not my original creation...I'm not that creative. I can look up and draw. So this one from spider999now.deviantart.com. But perfectly captures my thoughts. Got my iPad Pro 12.9'' a month back and keep drawing stuff like these when I miss my guy:(

Gay! Just kidding. I am too. I love your picture. If you're the one on the left, you have great hair. Lol.

Stubble can look sexy on a man. Don't know how it feels when kissing, though.

It feels quite stublely =p

It can make a guy look rugged and manly but can be quite tough on the skin haha.

I really like the picture though as there's a lot of emotion in it.

That's quite amazing. I'm starting to work in Procreate again and just feel like I am constantly fighting with the tools. I get frustrated that I can't just flip my brush onto it's edge and draw a thin line and then go back to the flat for a wider stroke.

Do you work zoomed in? What is your favorite tool for getting smooth colors, like the skin here?

Thank you :)

I started using Procteate when I got iPad Pro last December. I figured out I like how that App works, so consistently working on it and now I have better idea about what kind of brashes will give the effects I want to. I learned how to create/customize my own brushes on it too, so now I have plenty of customized brushes, from shapes/patterns to lines and touches.

When I draw cats, basic brush is water color brush/wash brush. Then I use texture hair brush to draw their hair. Use pencil brush for whiskers. Pretty much these are all I use.
Those girls, for skin, I use customized rough skin brush.

Have you ever tried to make your own brushes on Procreate? :)
It's fun, and originally Procreate itself has plenty material/base to mix and match for creating own brushes. I do take pictures and make PNG and use them to create own brushes as well though. Many of those splatters on my art works were I did on paper in real with watercolor and took pictures, then create brushes by myself.

About digital drawing, I think it's very important to know what kind of brushes give you what kind of effects or look. Another thing is how to use layers effectively. On Procreate, you can change opacity on each layers too, also choose shapes on specific layer and change their sizes/positions.

Try to start modifying existing brushes first, go each brush setting and change settings here and there, see how that brush looks different before and after. Don't need to worry if you mess up, because their original brushes are kinda protected, you can't delete them but can either duplicate and modify, or modify originals. If you modify original and didn't like it, just swipe to the side then you can see "reset".

Myself still learning a lot through drawing on that App, but if I can help you to learn with what I already know, I'm happy to do so :)

Just got an iPad Pro w/ Pencil today, so I've been trying to learn how to use Procreate. Here's my first two sketches/speedpaints:

Far from my best work, these are really just doodles, but for 30-40 minutes of drawing/painting between the two, I am fairly impressed with the speed and accuracy of the Pencil and I like Procreate. I'm going to play around with Concepts as well when I have some more time.

So I'm a huge nerd in a lot of ways, which includes running RPG tabletop games (i.e. Dungeons and Dragons), and I've been meaning to get into fantasy cartography just to provide a kick-ass experience for my players.

This is the work of several hours, most of which was simply spent figuring out colors, drawing and erasing experiments, etc. I think the blues are a little too blue or the trees are a little too washed out green, but this was a good proof-of-concept for me figuring out the style I wanted to use and playing with layers on Procreate. I'm rather pleased with how this experiment turned out, and being able to do this on a device I can take with me anywhere totally justifies getting the new iPad. I am really thrilled with the Apple Pencil and the iPad Pro after making this.

Only thing I did afterwards in Photoshop was add the text. My handwriting is not that good. The rest is all direct on the iPad with Pencil.

Got the Pro 12" yesterday and messed with Paper, sketching out a friend of mine. (I have to try Procreate) Still trying to get used to Pencil. I know this is not amazing..shading is off I know - but considering I haven't picked up a pencil and real paper in almost 20 years, it's ok I guess. I am having a lot of fun with this though.

And I absolutely love the Astropad app with the Apple Pencil working flawlessly mirroring my iMac full Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC, amazing!

Wow! That's a beautiful landscape. Nice work thirdeyeopen.

Thanks :) Always wanted to try my hand at some Bob Ross style landscapes, but have no room for an easel. Got a few more I'm pleased with, but this was my first.

Sure thing! Here's the full drawing.

The precision on this is mind-blowing. You must have a seriously steady hand.
