Hi. I'm a newb. I'm using procreate and tried to upload a pic but the file was too large. HELP!

Save to photo as JPEG, then open it with another photo edit app, then save as JPEG again, try that one to upload. Or if you use Mac, use Airdrop to send JPEG from iPad then open that JPEG on Mac then save it as JPEG but smaller size. Like "for Web". You can use Photoshop, or probably Preview.
I don't know why, somehow sometimes Procreate JPEG file ends up getting message "too big to upload" here.

Yes you can draw, this your drawing is simple but having good lines.

Thanks. I learned how to do lines when I took calligraphy class in China. But it's very hard to get lines to represent objects. I wanted to draw a cat sleeping in a ball, but can't figure out how to draw the lines to get it to look like a cat.

As my understanding why they call those as "ZenTangles", it's because you forget everything when you are drawing them and kinda become like doing Zen-ish at the moment :)
Well, I'm lucky enough, always when I draw cats, it's just so relaxing and meditating ;)

Yes, it's a common misunderstanding that when you are so focused on doing something you "forget yourself" that's like being in Zen meditation. But while such activities can be meditative, it's actually very different from Zen meditation, where you try to "forget yourself" while doing nothing. That is much much harder!

Your pictures do feel meditative and relaxing, which is why I like them.

Does Procreate let you email the file? When you email a JPEG from an iOS device, you get an option to reduce size. On an iPad, once the picture is attached to email, clicking on the cc field brings up the options to select file size. I just learned this the other day! Anyway, so you should be able to email a reduced size file to yourself. Could be faster than repeated saving in different apps, maybe?

I was on this little bit ago, and taken over by daily errands and forgot about it, but finally was able to have some time to complete this. This cat is named "Pixie", she is the one of my favorites kitten I've met through volunteering at cats shelter. The end of last week, she and her sister "Trixie" both were adopted, and great thing is they went together to same home. I miss Pixie, and guess that reminded me to finish this :)

That drawing is phenomenal. I mean look at those eyes, they actually look glassy.

I just love cats too much I guess? LOL
So I love drawing cats in realistic and/or illustration style. Very many people draw human portraits, but I'm not that much interested into drawing humans, so as sights, other objects.
When I draw things I love and I'm into, it helps me get better my drawing skills as well, somehow.
I do draw no-cats related objects and abstracts, but just much less, I think :)

Please keep drawing cats! I love my feline friends & your work is stunning!

So this is one of the first Pics I've drawn on here. I need to challenge myself to do more because I love the big screen. About 30 minutes of work. I've never been big into drawing - even though I have an arts degree

Beautiful illustration! Please post the final piece too ^^

Thanks man, this is the first time I've attempted to make something like this with the iPad so heavily involved so it'll be fun to see how it comes together! Heat is one of my favourite films so after watching it again recently it seemed like a cool project to keep me busy
