My Heat movie poster didn't quite work out, I thought drawing elements seperately on the iPad in Adobe draw, then piecing together in Adobe illustrator was the best way to go but it presented a couple of issues that I really should've seen coming.

Long story short, abandoned the heat poster for now, started on a Breaking bad poster I planned to do a couple of years ago after first watching it.

Here's what I got so far.

Drawing the whole thing (well the entire section that will be illustrated) in one document in Adobe draw is much better as I can continually check the whole thing as I work across it, making sure line weights match and altering the composition if I have to etc. I'll be taking it to Adobe illustrator to add text and properly size it etc.

Sorry for the essay! Hope you all have a good weekend! Looking forward to seeing what you're all drawing on your iPad pros

It looks great as always rews! Great job!

Today I decided to do some painting studies while laying back in the beach. I'm glad I did it cuz I did not know my capabilities back then. I should be trying new things like this. Anyways, I hope you people like it ^^

Just finished working on my latest project, a portrait of my Friend's German Shepherd Dog. It was a learning experience to try to find the right tool for the fur, I'm happy with it in the end. Hope my friend likes it. My first time drawing for someone else, so a little nervous.

Is there a latency issue with adobe scetch and the apple pencil? Just playing around a minute ago and it's so noticible especially compared when i jump over to procreate and its perfect. Is there an option im not checking in sketch?

It should be perfect on Adobe Sketch too, I didn't experience any lag. But I use it almost never, Procreate is everything I need for me.

Last couple of times I've used adobe sketch or draw there was no lag with the Apple Pencil. I also don't use those apps that much. Procreate is my go to app for most everything, although I keep an extensive list of Drawing apps on my IPP just in case I want to try something different.

Btw, this brings me to a question on Procreate, is there no way to do text on it other than to manually draw letters? I use a couple of other apps that have the text function built in to them, but had a hard time figuring out how to import them into my drawing above, so just drew the letters Manually. Also is there a way to cut a part from one layer and paste in a separate layer?

I know I should probably ask in the Procreate forums, but thought I'd check here first. Any help would be appreciated as I couldn't find anything about those Items in the Procreate Manual.

Your last question can be done. Select the icon left to the arrow (squigly line, don't know what it's called). Select something either automatic or freehand. Click the 2 horizontal lines in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. You now have a new layer with just the selected content.

anyone use art studio?

also I know this has been asked a million times but maybe a new program has come out or one has been updated, but is there a good vector program like full illustrator that lets you draw using vector points and curves?

I don't say it's comfortable as much as using illustrator, but there is a app I use when I want to draw like by using illustrator on my iPad. That App called Graphic. It takes bit time to get use too, but if you already use Illustrator, very similar and shouldn't be difficult to use.

Here is one of mine done on Graphic and on iPad mini 4(this was before iPad Pro came out).

At this moment, I don't believe they have that function. If I need to put text over my work in Procteate...
A) create text on other app, which like one of Adobe's and save as PNG. Import to new layer on Procreate.
B) if that app can't make PNG, create PNG from JPEG on iPad, then same, import to Procreate
C) create text on Photoshop on computer, make PNG file and send it by AirDrop to iPad then import to Procreate

But if you need to adjust text(what to say) or try on different kind of text, there's no way to do that kind of adjustment on Procteate after you import it. You can change color though.
I believe if you need to adjust text style or what to write, export Procteate file as PSD to desktop/laptop Photoshop and complete work is the way to go.
You can save jpeg file on Procreate then open it by other vector drawing app like Graphic, then work on text parts, but then your original artwork is now JPEG and if you want to change printing size bigger, there will be resolution size problem...
