Just bought an iPad Pro 12.9 and Apple Pencil this weekend after waiting since September for the new one to come out.
Really happy with it. Did this study of a painting by Dutch painter (Rien Poortvliet) to get a feel for the brushes in Procreate. Really happy with my purchase.

LOVE the work in this thread. It's so inspiring, I keep coming back! I haven't really drawn since 7th or 8th grade, but I'm getting the next 12.9" IPP and will (slowly) pick it back up again.

I agree. I've always liked drawing, but I don't keep up with it. A recent visit to this forum inspired me to draw the portrait of my daughter that I posted last night. Also I really like the vector drawing style and want to explore it further. I'm happy with how the portrait came out (even though I gave up on trying to draw her hand so I just cropped the image more) so I plan to keep at it. Also drawing with the IPP and Pencil is very forgiving since you can try different things on different layers and just experiment with no consequence until you nail the look you want.

Here's an update on the new piece I'm working on. Due to the style of the piece I've switched tools from the iPad Pro/Pencil/Procreate to Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator just has better tools to achieve the repetitive patterns I'm trying to create.

Stay tuned for more updates.

It's been for a while since last time I posted my art work here. And it's great people keep coming back here to see other people's artworks and posting their own as well! Let's keep this rolling! :)
And congrats to some of you who newly got iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to draw. They are absolutely amazing tools to draw(well, we all know about that already ;) )

Couple of doodles of flower I did few days ago. I usually don't draw this kind of things, so both kinda very simple, and just for fun :)

"Portraits of the Cats"

You have created so many beautiful cat paintings, but this is one of my favorites. The kitty looks like it is purring and happy. Lovely work.

Finally broke down & bought another iPP. Could not wait any more. Mom has this adorable fat bird sculpture that I love, so he has been a favorite subject of mine. And eyes...

So I've posted here before but I've only really used my iPad to sketch and draw, I've never been a painter. In fact other than a watercolor class in college I never painted at all. So painting on the iPad I really didn't know where to start. But I watched a few videos and just decided I needed to just jump and and do it myself, pick a household object as a subject and just try different brushes and do your best. So here it is, my first real ipad painting.

Not the best but I had a lot of fun doing it. I think the walls turned out really great. I may go back and try and figure out a better way to do the granite counter.

Not really one for getting political but with the UK election getting near i wanted to create something that didn't take my personal take on politics into account and stayed somewhat neutral. All adobe draw with background made and added quickly in illustrator.

New iPad Pro both 10.5 and 12.9 look fantastic! They are already accepting preorder at Apple Store just in case anyone thinking of buying new one, even though it's officially not said on media they are accepting preorder, they are!

Apple said orders go live today and ship next week. The 10.5" is calling my name LOL.
