Is there a iPad (dedicated) artwork website?

I do some web dev and got some vps, it's something nice to have.

I dont know of one but that would be great. I would love a place where people shared techniques, brush settings, etc.

Question: I’ve bought Affinity Photo, and it at first blush it seemed to be everything I’d hoped for, however there seems to be one huge deal breaker - the drawing brush doesn’t seem to handle Apple Pencil tilting, making it useless for shading.

Can anyone else confirm this? If so, is there a work-around?

Thank you!

Regarding Affinity Photo, I bought the app yesterday as well but I didn't have the time to explore all the features yet; I didn't see a tilt option for the Apple Pencil either, but maybe that's something they will add in a future update!

I only have old iPad 2 for doodling, so can't confirm this myself but from what I've heard:
i) select More
ii) select Dynamics
iii) select Size and set Controller to Tilt
iv) set the Ramp settings to react to tilt appropriately

Photo is for editing images and photos and or “painting”, designer is for creating line art, and layout design but specifically vector artwork.

So Photo would be something like Photoshop and Designer like Illustrator?

I wanted an alternative app for painting besides Procreate. So Affinity Photo is the closest one to Photoshop?

Yes, however it is rubbish for sketching. I’ve played around with the tilt recognition and it just does not feel right. It might be a viable workflow to sketch in procreate and then import into Affinity Photo though.

Any place but here or there....
Okay, first attempt on new baby:

the source (my most favorite Far Side comic strip by Gary Larson) and my first sketch:

15 years after I first saw this strip I am still RoTF about it and was giggling while drawing this. I look forward to eventually trying to recreate the whole thing, but this little wiped out alien is very close to my heart. Took me about 10 minutes in Notes.

I absolutely adore ProMotion and the better .2 latency with the Apple pencil. In Notes I do not feel like I am drawing on glass. I will have to search for a lot of ProCreate tutorials though. I am absolutely thrilled I can draw and doodle more naturally on the iPP now. So glad I bought the new 12.9" iPP today.

I just got my first iPad (256gb 10.5") and did my first anime-style drawing with the pencil in Procreate. It's been a number of years since I attempted something like this, so I'm a bit intimidated (particularly since there are so many good artists here!) but here we go.
