I’d love to post my work here but always get a failed upload because of a ‘security alert’

Hey everyone, some absolute stunning works of art in this thread. The introduction of the Apple Pencil was a long held dream of mine since the gen 1 iPad. Here are a couple of drawings I did using Procreate.

Thanks for looking and posting.

Are you Moon Unit’s brother? :D

Awesome work! The shading on that old man is amazing to me.

I must seek out this “Moon Unit” and understand their potential relationship to me. [edit] - I see your reference now, Nope no relation unfortunately. Not a big Zappa fan I’m afraid.

Thanks for the kind words. I used a dot like brush in procreate to create the liver spots and I kind of cheated by using multiple layers for the shading. I have a time lapse of that drawing which I can post once I get home where you can see I go too far with a shading layer that ultimately gets turned off. Back to work for now though.

I’d like to see the time lapse if you could post it. I find those entertaining and educational to watch. I think it’s super cool to get a look into the creative process.

Hi PBG4 Dude, sorry for the delay. Here is a YouTube link to the time lapse of the Old Man Procreate drawing. I’ve had a look at the forum rules and I don’t think this violates anything. Apologies if it does.

I used a source photo on a one layer for guide lines and then used split screen mode with the photograph showing in Photos on one side for reference and Procreate on the other.

You can see me switching the layers on and off, for example, the wrinkles were on one layer and the hair on another.

Thanks for watching everyone.
