Indeed, in my instance making use of limited desk space, I'm envious of those beautiful amazing spaces that readers take time to post.i get what he’s saying in a way but for me personally im not fond of the red back of mine so if i can hide it then thats better for me
Love the desk. Could you let me know where and what brand if you still know?View attachment 1779818
I picked mine up today. Not sure about this machine as I have a 2013 i7 iMac which was working well and was used as a secondary computer....not sure if the $2800CDN is worth the upgrade. Even if I sell the 2013 for about $800, it's still a $2,000 price difference. Not to mention I have an M1 MacBook Air as my main computer. First world problems huh?. Something to think about over the next 2 weeks. But it is a beautiful machine with great speed and a gorgeous 4.5k monitor!
Congratulations! It is stunning beautiful. It even matches your room curtains. Woo hoo! ❤️Got a pink iMac, red really. Wonderful colour!!
Have not set it up yet in its place.

My m1 is gone from 31st May.
Due to very limited space whilst home.
I had planned to add 2nd desk to bedroom as WFH takes up living room desk.
Not sure if I'll ever return to a desktop mac, maybe reconsider mcb pro next year.
thanks
M.2 Air is my current consideration, late '22 or q1 ' 23.A bit like me, but I do have my own monitor I use with my works laptop so an option is a headless Mac like the Mini or Studio. Don’t know if that’s an option for you? I do like the new iMac design though.

Seems base 8gb ram and improved speed from 512ssd is valid option.
Let me hopefully enjoy ps/lr and home video edits, assuming the small screen is decent viewing.
Wonder if it's similar to '21 Dell xps that I use past year.
I also hope that bright beautiful colours are retained on a bigger iMac.I love the yellow, @profets and @UMHurricanes34. I am currently a 2017 27” iMac user, and can’t yet bring myself to sacrifice screen size for a better processor. But I’m quietly hoping that a bigger iMac will come soon, and that it will still offer that lovely yellow color.

That's fan noise from the right fan spinning at 2600 rpm all the time.If you want to hear yours, just put the brightness at 40% and go with the ears behind, near the usb-c ports. It's not a huge issue, but still, it's also a shame.
Which M1 iMac model makes the least noise at idle? I know the base model has 1 fan and the upgraded model has 2 fans. I don't use software that pushes the limits, but I appreciate a silent computer. Has there been any decibel comparisons between these two? That's fan noise from the right fan spinning at 2600 rpm all the time.
It is not, it is clearly coil whine. I can distinctly hear the fan too if I want, it's a different noise and it's more to the leftThat's fan noise from the right fan spinning at 2600 rpm all the time.
The entry-level single-fan model runs hotter, louder and slower under heavy workload. The single fan kicks in earlier and runs faster without even providing enough cooling to prevent thermal throttling. Under light workload they are about equal, I'd say? As quiet as falling leaves (7 decibel). Interestingly the dual fans never run at the same speed to avoid resonances. The right one with the heat pipe is always a little faster than the left.Which M1 iMac model makes the least noise at idle? I know the base model has 1 fan and the upgraded model has 2 fans. Definitely not. That looks gorgeous. Look at the Homepod Mini with the yellow iMac! OMactualG!!!! 🤯A lot of gold accents in the house, as well as some yellow, so the yellow iMac worked quite well.
The chair I'm trying out - not sure if its too much yellow for one room...

I've decided that silver, blue and green are male colors whereas pink, orange and purple are female. That leaves yellow/gold as the color of our mutual sun god. May he be reborn at Christmas! That looks gorgeous. Look at the Homepod Mini with the yellow iMac! OMactualG!!!! 🤯

$1299 vs $1499 M1 iMac 24" - We Found HUGE Differences!
I'm still disappointed in myself for not buying last generations green iPad Air, instead I got the new one in boring starlight. M1 and USB-C are a cold comfort. All these neutral colors white, silver, space grey look very good on their own and lifeless in comparison. Picking and sticking to a color is a very emotional and personal experience. The color you like and begin to love won't be acceptable to your best friend. I thought the purple iMac was ridiculous until I saw an unboxing video and realized, I could never be as happy as this girl. The silver iMac with white bezels makes for a clean, minimalistic look, but who wants to minimize the fun in his life?I've always loved the gray color, but someone here in this forum gave a story how they had a gray iMac at work, and a colourful iMac at home made a clearer separation that the home iMac should not be used for work activities.
