Just got mine! Love it so far, upgraded from a 27" and am really enjoying this size much better -- the color looks great as well. Can't wait to start testing out the M1 in a little bit. Wish I got the matching trackpad as well since I don't like the Magic Mouse

I also missed having the matching trackpad as I picked mine up in store. I rang apple support and after spending 45 mins on the phone to them they are sending me out the pink trackpad. I almost bought the standard silver one from apple today, good thing I rang apple first.

Nice. I must be one of the few that got the 8gb ram.
I got 8Gb too. Blue, 512SSD 8/8 core.

The focus on 16Gb has tended to be a bit misleading, I think. I've thrown a whole lot of work at my M1 8Gb MBA and had no issues at all with it coping, so I decided 8Gb for the iMac would be sufficient too.

In my circumstances, I don't tend to add much new software or take all that much interest in updating macOS, so if it works well today, it'll typically work well for years. And the more 8Gb M1 systems there are out there, the more invested Apple has to be in ensuring they remain viable!

And, I have to say, this iMac is beyond amazing. It was delivered yesterday and I started setting it up when I got home from work. The colors are stunning, the bezels are like the edges of an infinity pool - the eye just doesn't really see them, and the system performs astonishingly well. It has the best screen I've seen, and sound quality is surprisingly excellent.

Going to do more setup on it today. I was going to use migration assistant, but I decided that doing it manually would be a better excuse to sit at it and play.

As per the title, let's see your 24" iMacs in their new homes.

I'll kick it off with mine.

Silver 16/512
I must say.. I didn't think I would like the silver model this much.. I thought blue for me. But by comparing all these pictures the silver one looks the most 'futuristic' (for whatever that's worth). NOT because of the silvery back that looks just like the previous iMac models, but for the muted front. I like that. Actually wish the whole thing including stand was muted like that!

Yeah I just admit, I was surprised at how good it looked. I’m a huge fan of the white bezels as well as it just goes so well with the iMac.

Can you do another photo with the screen on? It looks huge but I think the bigger bezel makes it look even bigger.
I'm sitting here with a window that overlooks a river, blue sky, clouds, and green trees. The white bezel literally disappears. A dark bezel would be prominent and feel like it was blocking the light. The screen does look larger and just blends with nature colors.

Maybe call them and ask if you can get a colored trackpad? Worth a shot.
I tried on preorder day to change to a trackpad. I was told that the only way was to cancel the whole order and start over. For the moment, they only have this as a "package" deal, but am hoping that they will make the peripherals in colors independently. I think they will definitely have to at some point as these things will get used, destroyed, lost, or become non-functional. I supposed that they could just force us to use plain white (Oh No!?! :0)), but Apple would lose a huge marketing opportunity and lots of money if they don't provide this option.

I'm glad you all are happy with your new iMacs... (seriously I do mean that)... but I can't stand this color biz and the white bezels are truly terrible...I just can't get past it.

Come on, man. This is a "show off your iMac" thread. If someone were showing you their new car, would you say, "I'm glad you're happy but I think it's a truly terrible design"? Not very tactful!

congratulations for your new purchase, i like your photos look wonderful, still using my old 27", i just need 1 more year to finish my new house, after if i hope i can upgrade
I still use a 2013 27" in another location and it's still running fine. If you wait a year, you should be able to get a really nice used 2021 for your new home for a lot less money. Or, you will purchase a new one with additional features and we will all be jealous of you!!

Didn't look thru whole thread but has anyone received the numeric keyboard yet?
