So apple only include the trackpads if you order online?

I’m surprised they don’t have them in store in various colours.

How much apple charge you for sending out a trackpad? (Hoping you say it’s free 😉)
Yep and they charged me $20 for shipping. Should have gone the numerical keyboard as well, damn lol

I am sure that Apple will soon start selling all color accessories. I think it's just an availability thing.

Apple should have just mass produced them at the same time as they were producing the iMacs, but what do I know, I’m just spending my money on their products.

Green with white bezels almost disappears in a natural setting. I expect blue would too. Forgive lack of cord management. I have a grommet behind the computer, but requires taking drawers out, so haven't done it yet. First 3 photos are at night and last one is during the day. Don't laugh....but yes, my upstairs office is my bath vanity and I do get a lot of work done there with my morning coffee ;)View attachment 1779412View attachment 1779413View attachment 1779418View attachment 1779420
Nice! That back pic ... gorgeous! Green was the color I selected, too. Felt more relaxing to me.

It's easy to say what Apple should do, but the fact is that we just don't have a clue. We can only speculate, but I am sure that Apple will at some point make these accessories available for purchase.

Interesting I just spoke to Apple Support and they told me they couldn't place orders for trackpads, keyboards or mice yet.

When the iMac Pro was released, there was a great demand for the space grey keyboard/mouse/trackpad... and Apple did not make them available for a while... eventually they did at a premium of $20 per... I am sure that sooner or later, Apple will be selling the colored keyboard, mouse and trackpad... and never one to shy away from a money making opportunity, probably at a premium, at least for a season.

Back looks awesome! Almost better than the front haha the one thing I noticed though is the Apple logo on the back doesn't fit perfectly, it's almost as if the aluminum cut out is slightly smaller. I would suggest the yellow - it's beautiful in person! View attachment 1778947

So far size has been great, I'm not a power user and don't do much that requires a larger screen so for me the 24" is perfect. Been playing Disco Elysium and a bit of school work and the size hasn't bothered me (yet). Here's a pic of the very fingerprinty 27 next to the 24, looks massive when next to each other

That yellow one looks nothing like the press photos. From the press photos, orange, silver, and yellow looked best to em. After seeing all real world ones, silver, orange and purple look best.

They probably did. But there is more to it. Packaging, regions, distribution, etc.

Give it a few months and I'm sure they will show up on the apple store website.

At the very worst, the colors will end up with a third party seller at some point as the product matures, and apple prepares to market updated color schemes or versions of the iMac. This might actually be the more likely route

I'm personally bummed that I didn't notice the extended keyboard option on ordering, as I'm a big number cruncher. However, I will likely be better served by a separate numerical keypad anyways. So no big loss. I certainly wouldn't want to type up a manuscript on the existing apple keyboard. That's what Logitech, or mechanical KB's are for.

Everything color matched in detail

Every aspect of packaging needed no knives. Even outer brown box

Packaging configured in a way to pop open and present everything like a pop-up book for kids

Maybe Apple has been doing this for a long time, but I haven’t bought a computer from them in quite some time. But numerous phones, iPads, watches etc didn’t go to these lengths. Very sophisticated and premium packaging. Like Japanese luxury items.
I adore this attention to packaging.

As a sculptor I’ve learned a lot over the years from Apple’s packaging (about elegance, economy, surprise and delight).

Tell me about your cable management... love the clean look... what are the USB-C cables and all the devices under the table? GREAT JOB!
I knew I wanted ultra convenience with this setup and a super clean look so I prepped a bit. Under the desk all cables are wrapped with Velcro straps and held up with adhesive zip tie mounts. USB-c cables are braided right angle cords found on Amazon. They go to an external m.2 enclosure (1tb), a port replicator/hub, and two usb-c couplers held up with 3D printed mounts. Just one bundle of wires going under the desk and one cord going to the wall. So pleased with the outcome.

You have given me hope with the one little word ...."yet". I switched out a 2013 MBP and just didn't think about all I do with a track pad.....pinch and expand anyone?....when I ordered. I was being "penny wise and pound foollish" since I now have to purchase a separate trackpad. Thanks for the info. I will just be patient and wait a little rather than purchasing a white one.

Yeah there is just no way they don't offer to sell them in all the colors at some point. Not only are they losing a ton of $ on potential sales, but what happens if your color matched accessories stop working or whatever how are you gonna get a replacement if they don't sell them?

I picked mine up today. Not sure about this machine as I have a 2013 i7 iMac which was working well and was used as a secondary computer....not sure if the $2800CDN is worth the upgrade. Even if I sell the 2013 for about $800, it's still a $2,000 price difference. Not to mention I have an M1 MacBook Air as my main computer. First world problems huh? :). Something to think about over the next 2 weeks. But it is a beautiful machine with great speed and a gorgeous 4.5k monitor!

I upgraded from a 2017 iMac because of its slower Fusion hard drive. I purchased the cheapest M1 iMac model because I am a casual user ... just light office type work ... but not into video or photography. I really do like the screen!
