Does anyone know whether the Blue or the Green is more like the B&W G3 color? Looks like the Green?

Trying out spanning using display link... only wrinkle so far is that you can't rotate the monitors using the driver that is released now.

It comes with a very strong tape that you just attach. I would strongly recommend getting it, and if you have quite a big desk, maybe get the two pack as you can set each one to a different colour.
Thanks! This looks great and is just what I need for a dark computer cubby. Can’t wait to try it!

Does anyone who's received their iMac have a Samsung T5/T7 and can show how it might fit stuck to the back of the stand below the power cord cut-out? Is there enough room? Thanks in advance!
Got a Blue T7 coming today and will see if I want to fix to foot back or a hidden shelf that will be behind my mac

I will see if it fits where you want it and post back here.

I understand why some people don’t like the new off white bezels. This picture perfectly explains why Apple chose this. These are designed to be used in people’s homes. Most people have light coloured walls, and the new bezels are designed to blend in with this aesthetic, making the screen the focal point.

I picked mine up today. Not sure about this machine as I have a 2013 i7 iMac which was working well and was used as a secondary computer....not sure if the $2800CDN is worth the upgrade. Even if I sell the 2013 for about $800, it's still a $2,000 price difference. Not to mention I have an M1 MacBook Air as my main computer. First world problems huh? :). Something to think about over the next 2 weeks. But it is a beautiful machine with great speed and a gorgeous 4.5k monitor!
I like!! Blends really well with that space.

Congratulations to all! Spectacular!

Have any of you gone from a 27" NOT RETINA iMac (2012 or 2013) to the new 24" M1 iMac?

How do you find? At the native resolution level, how is the readability of the texts?

Is it a feasible size downgrade? I have no way to do a live check at the moment, what do you think?

I don't think a future 30" is for me, and therefore I would like to understand if I can opt for this model.

Please do! If it is possible for you to take a photo with both screens on, side by side (to account for the wider black border of the 27"), that would be much appreciated!

Am I getting this right ! So if you select the trackpad you lose the mouse ?

The mouse comes with the iMac , but if you want both you also pay for the mouse😙.

It's not exactly the same setup, but I'm using my M1 iMac side by side with a 27" 2560x1440 display (same size&resolution as 27" non retina iMac). Scaling is fantastic, since objects on the M1 screen are physically the same size as on the external display (same logical 109 PPI). I can see the retina/non-retina difference, but for the most part it doesn't bother me. I use the retina screen for text.

As you can see, my desk is just a bit too small to fit 2x27" displays, so the 24"+27" is perfect.

I also have a late 2013 21.5" non-retina iMac with screen yellowing and dust stains in the bottom corners. The M1 screen blows the old 21.5" iMac away.

If you want both, you pay for the trackpad. If you just want the trackpad, you pay $50 more.

I still have an older 2013 27” iMac. Honestly, I think all the concerns I heard here on MR about the size of the screen were overblown. I have the new 24” in a different space and it feels nearly as large to me, at the least for the work I do with spreadsheets. A gamer might feel differently. The resolution and brightness of this new screen is nothing short of amazing. But the speed of the M1 chip and SSD storage is the main reason I am satisfied with this purchase.

ok weight difference between my 2011 27 and this 24 are night and day but like someone said its not paperweight,so much easier to move around if needed.
Screen size wise, when I first got it out the box I thought that looks quite bit smaller, set it up and for the first 20 mins was aware of the screen size difference but after using for an hour now and the 27 out the way downstairs I really like the size, it now feels a great size for seeing the whole screen without moving my head.the display itself is awesome interms of brightness clarity and colour.
Photos look so clear and detailed with a nice pop.
really loving this Mac,just need to get stuff organised ,oh speakers are nice and clear with good ambiance not over bass heavy but nicely balanced as a whole,I don't feel the need to add an external speaker of any kind .bought a £12 usb C atolla sd/micro card reader with 3 usb3 inputs, all working well after testing just about to plug in the Samsung T7 ssd Blue.so tiny .love it.
I feel I've moved into a new decade with this M1. love it

Good. I've been waiting to see a side-by-side comparison with a 27" monitor. I would also use the retina screen for text. With the iMac as the main display, how much do you notice the loss of screen real estate?

I wish Apple would make a standalone display that goes into this iMac. I'd get one in a heartbeat. It's perfect size and DPI to connect to my MacBook while I'm not on the move. Please, Apple!

Very nice. A lot of new Apple bling on that table. I need my shades on. The style and simplicity is very bright (in a good way).
Yes, May 21st was a big Apple day for me. The 12.9 M1 iPad Pro was taking a back seat to the pretty green iMac, but its quickly becoming a favorite. And I love how seamlessly it become s a second screen for the iMac!
