I have an 6s Plus which works perfectly fine for my uses. It is fast and smooth and shows no real signs of slowing down.

I bought this in May 2016 for £500 and hope to continue using this for another 2 years.

I may be tempted to upgrade if I see a tempting offer on the 8 next year.

I have no interest in the iPhone X or any successor to it if the high margin policy Apple has pursued continues. I have been somewhat disappointed by the fact that large numbers of the X may have been sold as was hoping poor sales would persuade Apple and others to avoid the high price route they have been following this past year!

I'll likely do nothing. My iPhone 7 Plus is still fine. I might upgrade my V30+ but probably not.

If I do anything, it'll be getting an unlocked android with root potential.

I am a former Android user (2008-2014) and, other than the Nexus devices, rooted every Android phone I've ever had. Eventually, I grew tired of that scene, but I can see how it would appeal to those who like to tinker with their devices.

I miss it. I like MIUI like what comes on Xiaomi devices. So it's nice to have the ability to put a ROM (custom firmware) on a phone that enables me to use this.

Yeah, I'm just one of those who brings home the new toy - loads up the Apps, sets up Mail, iMessage, and Contacts, toggles on or off the features I need or don't need - gets on with it. The only "customization" I perform is loading up my own wallpaper.

You going to get a new iPhone this year?

I was planning to keep my 7 Plus. But after shattering the screen for a second time I’ll now be looking to get whichever of the new models offers the best value for money, or failing that a good deal on an original X or 8 Plus once the new models are released.

I currently have a 7, and frankly just couldn't be happier with how it performs. Off contract this September - so IF they come out with a new TouchID model - I'm in. Otherwise, I'm going to sail along with the 7 for another year.
I'm not a fan of Face ID myself. I was sad with the headphone jack removal. While I like playing with software, it feels like hardware is becoming less interesting to me.

Notch, no headphone jack, Intel modems, bah!

So, I had a 6 and it was fine BUT then they brought out the 7 and with the 7 camera having a wider aperture and OIS I jumped at it and for me it just completed my ideal smartphone experience - the haptic-engine button was a welcome surprise.

Reality is, I think the 8/8s models are the last of the TouchID era - I just see FaceID as technology being foisted on me, technology that I have absolutely not one iota of need for.

Apple had better come up with something worth updating to
So far we know they’re polishing IOS 11
Which will become IOS 12 with perhaps a few minor updates
As for hardware creating a 6.5 inch screen isn’t enough

iPhones are a very mature product. So for me, all of the big features are now covered:
3G -> 4G
decent camera
retina display
water resistance
induction charging

I'm not really sure what Apple can do to make an upgrade compelling to me.

It really depends on what the new phones offer. I'm happy with my 6S, but I do miss the smaller form factor of Apple's earlier phones. Might switch to the new SE if it actually comes out.

I am still eagerly waiting to see what the new SE is like, this year if the new SE does have an iPhone X design, I will be split between that and the rumoured cheaper 6” model.
Not sure I want to go big though, but if the new SE has the same screen real estate as my 6S I will be interested.

Trouble for me is I had the Note 5 and hated it’s size in my pocket, so I know it’ll be the same with any phablet design.

I bought the iPhone SE half a year ago. But I not happy with it. It is way too smal for general usage. I never use it at home because it hurt my eyes. Typing on it is horrible as wel. I bought it after reading so many positive comments about it but I really hate it.

The plus is too big and the SE is too small.

I will hold it till a new iPhone release end this year. The succesor of iPhone X. I cant wait!

I've been using the 7 Plus and a Pixel 2XL since they came out. I've had a long personal debate about dropping the iPhone since Android software has improved quite a bit since the Nexus 6P and Pixel line debuted and I have really enjoyed the Pixel. Great camera...but messaging on Android is a hot mess. I've held out for Google to take control of it from carriers and basically intro their version of iMessage but no luck and it doesn't appear to be changing soon. Adding RCS will be nice but it still won't be encrypted. I don't mind sharing lots of things with Google but I enjoy my conversations being private. Plus the ability to share almost anything regardless of space (mostly) within the app is a win. All of my family use iPhones and don't want to manage multiple conversations across other message platforms and I don't blame them. So as much as I would like to keep Android around, I'll be updating to the X's successor in September. Here's hoping that since iOS 12 will be for stability, iOS 13 will be for new features.

TL;DR- I'll be upgrading in September.

I currently have my iPhone 8 Plus, which I got through the iPhone Upgrade Program in September.

I'm currently in 2 minds whether to upgrade to the iPhone X, in September (or close to this) or upgrade to the new iPhone which may be announced this year. I'm not interested in a Plus sized iPhone X so that won't enter the equation....

Gotta see what the new line of iPhone is..... I might just get the original X if Verizon still has it after the new ones are released.

Nothing from the list. I’ll be upgrading (downgrading?) to the new 6.1” “iPhone” from the X.

Glad I never really got wrapped up in iMessage, although I am sure its great but its 50/50 to who owns iPhones and android. So I tend to stick to the normal messaging platform.

I bought my 7 plus on launch day, however lately I have been having battery life, speaker and call quality issues; the day apple announces the iPhone Xs or whatever that´s going to be called I´m taking my iphone to the genius bar to get an exchange under apple care and then selling that phone to a co-worker (who already called dibs on it) to finance the new iPhone.

If that phone ends up being trouble free i´ll keep it for three years at least, although in my experience I always end up switching phones every 2 generations.
