The bigger question is will the Apps stretch out on the larger screen in proportion. And will I be able to see more on the screen when let’s say I’m reading something or will it be like before
I think when the X came out the screen was a little bit wider than the normal 8 and therefore longer as well in 16:9 aspect ratio, but with the X plus coming out it's not looking like a bigger screen in width, so in 16:9 aspect ratio your basically getting the same screen size, suppose what I'm saying is that the current X was an improvement to the 8 but the new X plus won't be an improvement to the 8 plus, lol.

Don’t think I’m interested in an x2, as an x owner, x plus (sounds unwieldy 5.5 on the plus size is already enough) or the budget 6.1

I wish there was an se2

X plus is supposed to be no larger than a 6,6s,7,8 plus so what’s the purpose of this topic anyway ...?

Although I love my x, getting use to the screen size took some time as I was coming from 7 plus.

I plan on buying the iPhone x plus. I'll probably Pre-order it and it everything.

I miss having a bigger screen and the battery life of a plus size phone.

Agreed. Just another user said the Plus never outsold the regular phones. I was just correcting him till the other user came in.
Well, to be accurate, you brought me in by quoting my post and telling me I was wrong before later telling me I couldn’t read and was blind. But that doesn’t matter as you’ve now accepted the point I was making when it was re-stated by another user.

On the contrary...i love my X for its size, fits perfectly in my hand & pocket friendly too, i was a 6+ user & a bit uncomfortable with the size ( not the screen size )

I guess it's all back to one's personal preferences.

I would approach the bigger 6.5 inch phone with caution as it is the first of it's kind, and apps may not be optimized for it. I remembered the days when iphone 6 plus launched, and the apps look weird on it. It took some time before apps look the way they were supposed to. I do feel that the 5.8 inch phone would have more apps that are optimized for its screen now that the the 2017 iphone x has been on the market for a while.

This is me. Currently using a Plus and much as I like the screen size, I don’t think it’s actually useful often enough to justify carrying around the extra heft. I’m looking forward to changing to the 2018 X. Looking at my current phone and imagining the entire screen covering the surface, great as it would be for videos, I don’t think it will score highly in the usability and practicality scale.

I think the thread title and ample discussion makes it obvious if you have been reading back. Are consumers interested in a 6.5 iPhone X, more or less, In terms of weight and size, obviously it will be bigger than the 5.8 iPhone X and is that something that’s going to be attractive to the consumer other than the tech enthusiast.

Yes i must agree, also have 8 plus and like you said, imagining the entire front all screen at this size is too much really.

Why would consumers care of how big the screen will be when it wil be fitted on the body of a current 6,6s,7,8 plus? A bigger screen is always welcome when external dimensions remain the same. This topic has no purpose for me. Or it has the same purpose like when we were discussing in the past all these topics of 6 vs 6 plus, 6s vs 6s plus etc......no point to discuss the same stuff all over again.

Then you’re in for disappointment as the keynote draws closer and especially after sales commence. This is just the tip of the iceberg. This thread can be judged as a sampling of the buzz of excitement vs the detractment that will eventually come to this section of the forum as more of the non-regulars (those who only post around initial launch and sales time) post their thoughts and opinions. You’re not a new member, so you should already know this.

And actually, last year with the introduction of the X, topics graduated from small form vs large form into old tech vs new tech, poor vs rich status symbol, and similar sorts of discussions that will surely be rehashed this year as well.

My only curiosity is how it will go as there will be even more division of owners: the old form factor owners vs the 2017 X owners vs the 2018 updated X version vs the 6.1” LCD version vs the X Plus version.

Sign me up!
I can’t wait. I hope the rumors are true. I’m still using a 7 Plus that works perfectly. I passed on the X because it was a new design. I usually like to get the second generation so that all the quirks are worked out.

Nope, never accepted it from you. Stop acting childish and let it go. You were wrong.

I am so embarrassed for you right now. Please just stay “done” as promised above.

Not sure why as I was just stating the facts to correct the user(s).

And yet they don't put a larger screen in the shape of a 4.7" iPhone. The X is a very different experience versus any previous 4.7" iPhone. It's a touch larger and much heavier.

The SE provides a small and comfortable experience but Apple still has yet to provide us with a phone that size that is all screen, as many of us want.

The X Plus will most likely be the first iPhone since the iPhone 5 (3.5" screen to 4") where the shape of the phone stayed the same size but the screen got larger.

I have no idea why you think this topic isn't worthy of debate. If anything the 6.1" iPhone will only add fuel to the debate as you now have an iPhone between the sizes of the X and X Plus.

No more then the amount of iPhone users that criticised a screen bigger than 4" years ago ;)

Just stop now. You are making yourself look silly lol

Oh my. but you were the one who said they never outsold the regular edition and couldn't handle being corrected.

Well, I’m sorry that you remain unable to comprehend a very simple point. I thought you were done? Please, just be done.

I think there are many people who love the size and ratio of the current Plus screen but dislike the overall form factor as being to large. Unfortunately the X Plus won’t help these people at all being only fractionally smaller than the current Plus phones, and possibly even heavier.

The thread topic is _not_ discussing just the ‘screen’ of the iPhone 6.5 X plus, its discussing the entire phone as a whole. The iPhone X is an entirely different device because of the glass back and stainless steel bands that actually make it seemingly heavier as well.

If it has no purpose for you, then why are you interested posting about the size of the 6.5 iPhone X in this thread? (For the record, Which you have contributed two posts).

Also, I still think you’re missing part of the point, it’s not just about the display, it’s the size of the phone as a whole if consumers want something that large, given that it will be a much different phone over the Plus models.

The 6.5" X Plus will sell well, there are quite a few people who upgrade to the X because they wanted a smaller size but after using the phone for almost a year they feel like it's too small now.

I’m not sure using stats of the sales from one country backs up the claim the 8 Plus model outsold the regular version though. It did in one quarter in the United States but the article didn’t talk about the rest of the world. This whole disagreement seems like peeing in the wind to me.

I understand that. But find me the stats for the world then? We use what we got.
