Honestly reduced transparency has made my iPhone 6+ smoother than when it first came out
It does make it super fast but try it off again and it should still be super quick.
There are a few methods that have been disused in a few threads here about doing that kind of change. Is there a way to switch from iOS 9.1 beta to the latest public iOS 9? I can't stand the lag and stuttering any more.
So basically, iOS is a bunch of crap 50% of the time each year from September to February. What a joy. From /r/Apple
For a few people. For more it's not great but not necessarily bad during that time.So basically, iOS is a bunch of crap 50% of the time each year from September to February. What a joy.
If you experience lag and stuttering on the 9.1 beta then you will most likely get a similar experience with the public release. I would recommend that you downgrade to 8.4.1 until upcoming patches releases with more smoothness to the device. Is there a way to switch from iOS 9.1 beta to the latest public iOS 9? Can we still go back? I was out with friends yesterday and switching to camera, taking photos, showing photos, etc really lags now. It really made the phone look bad because of the lag and occasional lockup. I'm on the 6 plus and it seriously is giving me performance issues everywhere. Simple games also lag now...
Even though some Apple fans swore it wasn't.
Going to try a fresh install now to see if its any less laggy on my iPhone 6.
Getting the iPad 1 form iOS 4.3 to iOS 5 vibe. Not as unusable but pretty damn annoying.
Useable? Yes
Does it feel like a blazing fast and modern OS on an iPhone that was just released a year ago? Nope.
Seems like iOS 9 was made for the newest iPhones/iPads which is disappointing because in the past, it took about 2 cycles before devices would seen noticeable slowness.
It really worked!I might have stumbled upon something that gets rid of most or all of the lag. I have a 6+.
I slid the Reduce Transparency slider to ON and messed around with my Apps, Notification Center, etc. I then set Reduce Motion to ON. Same thing, I just tooled around iOS for a bit with both ON. I then set Reduce Motion to OFF and slid Reduce Transparency to OFF and bingo, no more lag!!
I've tried everything to get it to lag, pulling down spolight, opening tons of apps in the app switcher. I've seen that the jerky lag before, so I know what it looks like. It's much, much smoother now and dare I say fast!
Happy days are here again!
Try it out! YMMV.
It really worked!
Thanks man!
One question, how long did you mess around with apps and notification center?
But did it remain after a reboot?
