Again quoting this to show you proof.iOS 9 destroys iOS 10 in speed tests. Why am I not surprised.

So iOS 9 is great suddenly? (Let's also pretend that it's not the first developer preview of a brand new version of an OS.)

On a "related" note, I think there are also YouTube videos showing that Earth is flat.

Unfortunately with the current information there won't be Siri API for Spotify as audio apps are not an approved category for Siri API: https://twitter.com/caseyliss/status/742473373746384896

This is a major bummer, as I was hoping for Siri support to Overcast (and Google Play Music) for the times I'm driving and need to change the track/episode.
That would be strange given YouTube could be considered an audio app and that was demoed ...

I guess we will have to wait and see :(

Could be worse, were only just finally getting proper siri support in Ireland. Up to now i had to use UK siri and saying Irish names and place names it's a nightmare.

I have to change names like Aidán to iodine at times for it to recognise.

You should try saying Welsh names! It still doesn't support it. I was trying 'Gelli' which is pronounced 'Geth-li'.. I just said it the most English way possible driving down the M4 lol.

Yeah i can understand it's just AI but it does get frustrating having to try and say things differently otherwise it won't recognise it.

For example Caoilfhionn would actually be pronounced close to Kaylin but you have to say something like Ca-oil-fean for Siri / Google Now, which is how it's spelt but not how it's pronounced. So you are having to artificially adjust.

Yeah I hope the restrictions are lifted and audio apps get approved for the API too. I was mainly looking for a way to control podcasts and music with the apps I actually use. In general I don't like voice controlling my phone, but while driving it's just so much more convenient and safer that I'd like to have Siri there.

Compared to 8.4.1,no.I mean just like how iOS 9 was slower than 8.4.q right till 9.3.3 ,iOS 10 will be even slower than iOS 9.And slowly we get used to these slowdowns till he phone slows to a crawl like e iPhone 4s
Did you just use a youtube video to compare a beta OS to a mature OS?

Seriously

The iOS 9.0 beta was slower than iOS 8.4.1 and right till the end it stayed that way.I expect the same will happen in iOS 10.Seriously this "it's a beta" excuse is getting old

It doesn't matter much for me with iOS 10 anyway.I can't stand NOT having latest software and for me to run the latest software I need iPhone 7.iPhone 6 won't be able to run iOS 10 Smoothly

Didn't you exhibit the exact same posting behavior when iOS 9 beta was released against iOS 8. As was foretold then iOS 9 is now the speed King.:D
You can't possibly know that at this stage.
You guys are not getting the point here.I am not going through all that rigmarole again.i7Guy claims iPhone 6 will run fantastic on iOS 10 but iOS 9 was not as smooth as iOS 8 for me

They are still there in Notification Center when you access it when you aren't on the home screen (locked or unlocked), like from within an app.

Are you sure of this? I thought the language used in the demo was Apple 'moved them from the notification panel to left of the main home screen and left of the lockscreen' implying they are no longer there. If they're still in the pull down panel, I'm a happy camper. :D

why couldn't you use launcher widget with the new lockscreen notification? it will be quicker and easier to use.

You are able to get to your widgets when you are on any page still doesn't need to be just in the lockscreen

surely going left is quicker and easier than pulling down?

I don't think so as how would you use the swipe to the right to navigate back. Everything I've seen so far implies they are only accessible left of the lock screen and first home screen.

So for example, I'm in an app that I need to sign into. Presently in iOS 9, I pull down, tap 1Password in the Launcher widget which takes me directly to the 1Password app, I copy my password and use the 'Back to xxxx app' link on the top left and immediately return to the app to paste my password. On iOS 10, if the widgets are no longer in the pull down panel, I have to hit home button, swipe left, tap the 1Password button in the Launcher widget, copy the password, then double tap the home button to open the recent apps, tap the original app, then paste the password--lots of extra actions there.

iOS 9 is not as smooth as iOS 8 for me either but that is not to say the next release will not fix many of the bugs. It's just second guessing from you at this stage.

iOS 8 was smoother than iOS 7 for me.

From what I have seen you can do it on any page

You pull down as you do now and just slide across for your widgets using your finger to slide up and across. So you will be able to get your widget page as you can now.

You can do that now on the IOS 10 beta. From within any app you can swipe down from the top to get to the notification screen. Then swipe right and get to the widgets then hit the home button to go back to the app.
I am really liking the IOS 10 beta so far. It shows a lot of promise. I am finding a lot of bugs....but it is BETA after all :)

Yes quite sure as it has been discussed in a number of iOS 10 threads that I've been following.

If iOS 9 slowed down your iPhone how are you confident iOS 10 wont slow it even further?Evidence so far suggests the contrary

I would disagree on this. My regular 6 Plus is better on ios9 then ios 8. It is overall better and spots that lagged in ios8 are smooth now on ios9.

One example is control center. On ios8 swiping up on the lockscreen would be jittery now its smooth.

I still get random stutters here and there. The phone was 100% smooth on iOS 8.I really hope iOS 10 reverses this trend but I doubt Apple cares
