meaning we might see a beta say Thursday
I hope apple will not be so crazy to release the gm next week..still important bugs in beta 9, or maybe they will solve "all" (quite the same) bugs that were there from beta 1 to 9...
Most severe one for me is smb that in beta 9 connects to shares but kernel panics when transferring files (>67,1 mb?).

Beta 9 here on a Mac Pro 4.1/5.1, all good nothing much to complain about as yet.
I WiFi but I knew that would happen,
Will try a single later see if that work for now

Look at the screenshot, he's actually running a 2017 iMac Pro, not a Mac Pro 5.1. I didn't even bother with Catalina on mine I just bought a new Mac Mini instead heh. Should've saved the graphics card money I spent on the Pro for the new Mini instead.

The only issue I have is that the wifi refuses to connect to the network without at least 1 reboot when I visit mom's apartment.

No problems on my home wifi except a storm knocked out power, so NO wifi/power at all in my house for at least 2.5 days. :(

Do they usually release new builds on a Friday though? Normally it seems to be a Tuesday?

GMs have often come few days to a week before release. If GM came out today then it will be ready for normies next week.

If GM comes out Tuesday then it might be released on 20th.

Not only that but his 'iMac Pro' is powered by a Quad Core i3. How'd that happen? a Core i3 in an iMac Pro? 🧐

Judging by the specs you are running a hackintosh, or you’ve modified your ‘About’ info.

Yea he’s not running an iMac Pro, imagine an iMac pro with 1066 ram😄

Seems like a hackintosh. Ran the Serial Number through warranty check. Not a legitimate Serial.

You can rename the Mac quite easily. You could call it “Overkill Mac” if you wanted🤗 I always thought renaming it to something better/newer is pretty awkward

Not sure if you're joking, but that's a MacPro4,1 flashed to 5,1 with SMBIOS spoofing to run Big Sur. That 2.7GHz Core i3 is actually a 2.66GHz Xeon W3520.

Hmmmm..., when Big Mac ran a serial number check, Apple responded with invalid serial number. Does flashing with SMBIOS spoofing invalidate the machine's serial number by erasing it from the SMC chip? Also, what does the SMC if anything have to do with a serial number?

Upon a little further research, it can be discovered that SMBIOS flashing has a "How to configure your system's SMBIOS correctly tutorial at tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-how-to-configure-your-systems-smbios-correctly.198155/, looks Big Mac nailed it, GSXB is running a Hackintosh rig. That is the only explanation for the invalid serial number response from Apple.

Anyone else notice that Safari has a lag under the latest beta? There seems to be a pause before anything happens. Tried deleting history, clearing cache. Nothing helps.
