Ahh - ya its really not a big deal at this point. You don't have to plug in or anything of that nature.

Though I will say - iTunes on a Mac is FAR AND AWAY better than iTunes on a PC. If I had a PC only and had to use iTunes regularly, I wouldn't like it either.

Luckily, you don't have to. I use iTunes at home as my default media player to stream things from my iMac (which acts as my central media hub) to my AppleTVs. iTunes works really well in my opinion.

Don't you start this again! :p

Unless you buy your content from apple you really do need iTunes!

Heheh....you're correct.

You don't have to plug in though. And with the awful state of the PC version (may be better now I haven't updated it on my work Dell) - at least compared to the Mac version - I'd tell you iTunes match is $25/yr well spent. Throw all your stuff in iTunes and forget about it.

Then just buy via iTunes if you want to purchase music.

But who does that these days? That's so 2009 :D:p Just stream it all from iTunes Radio, Beats Music, Spotify, Pandora, etc....

Movies on the other hand....well....you're screwed. Haha

I dont have a whole lot of hatred for it honestly and I'm strictly running PC version. My bigger issue is helping people retrieve their media once their syncing computer has died. You can't lose that library file! The obsufacated way media is stored on iOS annoys me (those randomly named folders and files for that matter). You can extract them but good luck renaming everything. ITunes itself doesn't bother me much.

Okay, so Apple copied some features that existed on Android, and are in some cases implementing them differently. So what? Of course they have to implement them different by the nature of the different OS-es. Inevitably their "implementation" is different. For example, to implement the always listening SIRI feature, it of course has to be different. You couldn't say "Ok Google Now" to your SIRI, but the feature itself is a direct copy of Android's always listening "OK Google Now". Or Widgets existing only in the pull down menu (iOS doesn't have home screens).

These are features copied from Android. You're only pointing out the obvious that they'll be implemented differently. Thanks, I guess?
How the **** is always listening an Android feature? The only ****ing Android phone with it is the Moto X and that didn't even sell much.

Stop spread ******** about it being copied from Android.

I dont stream my music....not much anyways....... i have it on my phone so most of time i play it from there. Either on a MicroSD when i have a phone that has it or like now, it is all on my Nexus 5 that i copied it from my MicroSD. I prefer that to steaming because of signal strentghs moving around and the data usage. If im on Wifi its not a big deal though.

? Just backup the iTunes Media folder which keeps everything in folders by artist.....

Simmer down Kid. We are trying to have an adult conversation in here. No need to use words that get bleeped out ;)

And BTW, that IS a Google feature that they are in the process of having that put it is all Android phones.

Completely understandable - I keep my favorites stored on my 5S. Also have an iPod classic that can hold my entire library.

Use it when I'm on a plane and streaming isn't viable - which is relatively often.

All of the new Droid phones have this feature along with the Moto X.......easy to check and verify if you wanted too......

So, in essence, you're agreeing that Apple stole it from Motorola...a Google Company (until the deal with Lenovo officially closes). And Google creates Android. So you basically just proved his point, Apple is copying Google...again.

Still limited to four phones. And three of them aren't global.

He is 16 afterall, lol. BTW...Google kept all the Motorola patents in the Lenovo deal.

I mean facts are facts. You just proved his point (by accident, of course) whether you want to admit it or not. Probably smart to just smile and nod when you've been proven wrong and have no other argument.

In an article it mentions Motarola was run separately from Google. So no my point didn't prove his or your point.

I mean helping them after the HDD in their computer is already toast. Leaving recovery of the media from the iOS device the only option. Its not a problem for those who backup and are generally knowledgeable, but I've had plenty of calls about it. Fwiw there are third party programs that can rip the media back out, made for some happy customers.

Ahh gotcha - I understand how that could be a pain.....

iTunes match is really worth the money for me. Always backed up. And I back my stuff up to an external anyhow - so I've got all my music/media in three places essentially lol....

I uploaded my iTunes to Google play music, then downloaded just my favourites onto my Nexus 5. It seems to be the most hassle free way of syncing music, however as with anything on android (well maybe for me) it doesn't like to work all the time, or copies songs in a playlist or other pretty small issues.
Though when I upgrade to an iPhone 4.7",I may continue with it unfortunately, because I don't have to pay for iTunes Match (wonder if that can be shared, because then it'd only be $5 a year per person in my family, or the equivelent in £(with the TNC's conversion rate, $1=£1
