It turns out that route 69 is duel highway South of Tulsa and North of Tulsa turns into a small 2 lane road with a 65 mph speed limit that goes through 3 or 4 small towns dropping to 35mph, but today on a Sunday, traffic was extremely light. Of possible interest, Waze my gps navigator of choice, midway through the trip switched us off the InterState and onto 69, I suppose due to the traffic it read.We are leaving tomorrow to drive to Minnesota (from Texas) to visit family and although I have made the trip several times over the years, I‘d like to ask has anyone driven from Tulsa, Ok to Kansas City, Mo lately? I’m wondering if Interstate 45 or route 69 (future Interstate corridor) is a preferred way? They show about the same time, although the Interstate is 20 miles longer, but what I really want to know is if 69 has bypasses around the towns, or goes right through them?
Can’t leave until we get an answer. 😜Thanks
No. It’s bloody long. No end in site. Too warm because we can’t have the AC on due to COVID.Is your vacation in the office good? 😁
No AC could be brutal. 😬No. It’s bloody long. No end in site. Too warm because we can’t have the AC on due to COVID.
Too much work to do because colleagues are on actual holiday as well!

Lovely.Chores are done, kicking back on the farm. Rural is where it’s at. Only missing a lake.

Lovely.
I’m sure it was. Don’t worry. Normal Welsh weather will resume soon enough.Indeed, that was at 10am and it did get a little busier but everyone kept about 7 metres from each other which was cool. Bloody hot day mind you

I will retire in Venice. Favorite place in the world. ( Malta is quite nice as well, more specifically Northern part of Gozo ).We’re headed to Venice the lat week of August, we’re not leaving Europe this year.
Almost perfect... just needs a lake or some canals!Chores are done, kicking back on the farm. Rural is where it’s at. Only missing a lake.
I‘m not really a cruise person either, but it depends on the cruise. Caribbean cruises, with a stop in Jamaica, Caimen Islands, and Cozumel, Mexico? ...eh, that was ok. My wife says she considers the boat as much the destination as the destinations, but I disagree. The boat is fun, but I woukd have zero interest in a cruise from the UK to New York crossing the North Atlantic. And you really can’t dock at a tourist dock for 6 hours and say you’ve visited Jamaica. We abandoned family, we do for ourselves, no pressure from anyone, last year we spent Thanksgiving week in Charlotte with good friends, beautiful VRBO, had a blast. This year I picked up an fresh BB 18 pounder, we have a Kringle coming from Wisconsin, an amazing amount of food, drink, PT&A on deck, it'll be fantastic with just the three of us
My wife and I (the little G too), are NOT cruise people, as in, we won't ever go with the exception of possibly a European river type cruise. We boat, we dive, I grew up around the ocean surfing, fishing, we live 2 blocks from the ocean.
I'd rather fly to the destination, or go to our place in the Keys, captain our own boat on a lobster catch, or go to Universal Studios and sit around a resort pool. Our very good friends I mentioned above have tried to convince us. Nope. Our next best friends who are also our ILs also have. Never.
Venice has it all for me: food, wine, coffee, culture, no cars, everyone walking, trains and an airport just around the corner. Would like to retire there.Love Venice. Been to Italy three times. Rome, Venice, and Pisa. Beautiful country.
