That picture is fake (photoshoped), somebody already posted this on another thread and macForums deleted it, dont be surprised if they close this thread

That doesn't mean it's fake. It just means that the admins don't think it's in good taste to post it anywhere on their site.

This photo has been public for many hours already.....if it was a fake, it would have been figured out by now and TMZ would have taken it down.

Hell, if it was fake Apple would have sent their lawyers after TMZ and it would have been taken down in 5 minutes.

I still don't think it's a fake.:(

Did TMZ post the photos where the doctor claimed he had 6 months to live before the iPad 2 intro? A few weeks later he was out on stage demoing the new device. This very well may be Steve, but the way they are staged doesn't really indicate he's on his last leg. Sure, he is ill, and he is thin and not well, but I am not convinced he is on his death bed. I wish they'd leave him alone though, really.

Wrong...they took it off cause alot of people reported it to macRumors
We've been organizing, not deleting. Our only intention is to keep the discussion of the TMZ images in one thread, per Forum Rules.

I believe you're thinking of the Daily Mail from February: How ill is Steve Jobs? The pictures of gaunt Apple boss that have financial world talking

The parts that seem fake to me:

1. The black Steve is wearing is way too solid with the rest of the picture's colors being washed/faded to an extent. The black is totally unnatural and artificial.

2. The square skirt he's wearing has four unnatural corners that are way too sharp.

The parts that seem real to me:

1. The lighting of the Sun being behind them appears to be consistent all across (head, car, face, etc). Looks like the AM hours when the Sun is rising.

2. The fact that he's wearing a skirt could be for the ease of any lab testing.

I noticed that as well. What shocked me though is that he doesn't park in a garage or even behind the gate.

Judging from the TMZ picture and Google Street view, the Lexus was parked where the Audi sedan is parked.

This can be verified with the round tip and arching garden gate in the background. The red brick ground also applies.

Steve has never been one for the pity train. The fact is, he is still alive. For how long, no one knows. Let's not feel sorry for Steve. His final epitaph has not been written yet. A weak body, does not equate to a weak mind. Steve probably does more on his worst days than any of us do on our best.

Best post of the thread.

He'll be on stage for the iPad 3 keynote, you better count on it. Get well Steve.

Clearly photoshoped garbage from a garbage tabloid site.

There are those in this thread who think that site offers news?

The mind boggles.

In a picture of this low resolution there is no way you can tell confidently if it is shopped. The theories are all nice (warping and bubbles etc), but it can all just be artifacts from scaling the picture down for the publication.

In stead of looking at pixels, you should look at the light because this is the most difficult to shop, and this seems to be natural. Making me (unfortunately) quite sure that this picture is real.

To put it simply, Apple has been lying to their shareholders about Jobs' health. From the photos it doesn't look like he'll be able to do any kind of work on either the board of Apple or Disney.
Jobs should have resigned months ago.

You have no way to judge from this picture to what capacity Jobs has been working lately and how much and effective he will be. A friend of mine has died from cancer recently and she looked great up until the last day, even with chemo's and operations. Very clear mind too. Steve may look bad in this picture, but this could have been different a week ago. Still it gives no indication to what capacity he can still work for Apple.

In addition, Apple hasn't been lying to shareholders. What Apple has been doing is crafting a very well thought out succession plan that was probably activated in january when Jobs left for sick leave. You can see from the AAPL share price that the shareholders have factored this into the equation a long time. AAPL even outperformed the NASDAQ on the day he resigned. What matters to share holders is growth and continuity. With the careful grooming of the whole succession team (Cook, SChiller, Ive, Forstall et al) over the past period we as shareholders are ensured that the company is in good hands even if Steve eventually leaves.

Someone needs to cure cancer now. This is ********* that it has been so many years of finding a cure and nothing.

As a geneticist I can tell you that there are several causes and types for cancer. There will always be cancer and it will never be treatable by one single medicine or treatment (unless we get to star date 87468176384 and we can replace body parts and cells by replacement in a transporter chamber or whatever).

There are several cancers that can very easily be cured and many that are extremely difficult to cure. One of the latter is Steve's cancer, which reportedly is pancreatic cancer.

Science and medicine haven't stood still. The chances of surviving any cancer have increased incredibly the past twenty years. 15 years ago, Steve would not have been here anymore, as the procedure he underwent to cure his cancer wasn't available then.

Looks like a hospital gown to me. Looks like he's going for treatment of coming back from treatment.

That doesn't look like any hospital gown I've ever seen, and I recently went through months of treatments for cancer. I also never once wore a hospital gown outside of the hospital.

Someone with Steve's resources would not be standing around on a street corner in a hospital gown.

I don't now what the hell to make of this photo, but I hope it's somehow a fake.

^^^ that is what really stumps me on the pics ... Steve is worth more than 5 Billion dollars and he is standing by the curb with some weirdo who is posing for the picture?

Judging from all the pictorial evidence collected in this thread, someone from the FBI needs to do a face recognition on his assistant and find out if he lives near Steve, drives a silver RX and if he works in some form of medical care profession.

The fact that he has lived the life he has is impressive.

The fact that he has done what he has in the last several years while staring death in the face is absurdly impressive.

We are all here on borrowed time. I would say I am saddened, but since I don't know him, it's not the personal sadness I would feel for a friend. Mostly it is admiration.

I admire him for the way the devices he pushed into existence have had an impact on my life, and for the creative output of Pixar. He has planted a lot of seeds and started a lot of avalanches.

And now, because it does look pretty grave, I admire the way he has kept at it all the way. I am saddened, but I am still impressed.

Find your thing, do your thing, don't look back.

That's not a black hospital gown. That's a long sleeve black shirt and black shorts. You can see the drawstring at the front.

Some people...

I can't believe no one else has noticed that, the first time I saw that picture it looked like Steve wearing his regular black shirt with a pair of black shorts. I don't get were people are getting this hospital gown theory.

Also, judging from the Google Street View images someone posted above, it looks like Steve is at home and not at a Hospital.

The 'weirdo posing for the picture' could just have been watching the car go by, or have noticed a camera. It was always coming.

When Steve does eventually die, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a tonne of people who all think it's a hoax. Death is **** but it's going to happen to us all.

here's a video on youtube from the Radar...

is this fake?

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2011/02/world-exclusive-video-apple-boss-steve-jobs-unsteady-his-feet-day-treatment

This has gotta be real...the very same Audi RS6 is in it :(

I don't think this video proves that he is terminal, and he looks about as thin and gaunt as he has for the past year, or so.

My brother endured chemotherapy about 20 years ago, and he was a very, very young man, but after treatment he was an absolute wreck so that Jobs, at 56, is walking after chemo, or whatever treatment he had, is really pretty positive, if you ask me:D

Back on topic: for someone as intensely private as SJ, why is he walking outside his house where he had to have known that vultures were circling for photos of him to sell? That behavior seems kind of odd, as I am sure that there is more than enough space on his property for him to have enjoyed a nice walk outside of the range of these paparazzi. However, Apple's silence on the authenticity of the photo is troubling.

It's not real!

Don't be stupid, this photo was photoshoped, the body belongs to an old woman and Steve's face was modified to make him look worse...
