if you go few pages back - you will find the answer, or use search with word qemu-img.How to increase drive size. C: seems to be around 25GB?
Did you "unmount" the drive in MacOS first? (not Eject)There are a couple of things I haven't been able to get working just yet, wondering if anyone else has had luck:
USB pass through - The linux guest will show the device in lsusb, but not in lsblk, and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to show up.
On Mac:
Code:macbookair:~ kupan787$ lsusb Bus 000 Device 002: ID 0781:5581 SanDisk Corporation Ultra Serial: 4C530001021027120270 Bus 000 Device 000: ID 0781:5581 SanDisk Corporation USB 3.1 Bus
Then to pass it through I am doing:
-device usb-host,vendorid=0x0781,productid=0x5581
On Linux I see:

So it seems that the VM is seeing the USB device, and recognizing it as the SanDisk that I have connected. Interestingly, on my Mac desktop, the USB disk disappears for a second but then reappears.
You will have to press ESC key at startup to get into BIOS/UEFI menu, there you can change the resolution:
Select "Device Manager":
I got that to work but the display driver limits Windows resolutions. Ubuntu makes it easy to control it from the OS.[...]
You would have to enable SMB file sharing.any way to get shared local files mac/win10 like in parallels and vm fusion?
I did not. I’ll try that tonight, and see how it goes.Did you "unmount" the drive in MacOS first? (not Eject)
This is REALLY puzzling. I have checked the guest addresses and they do start at 10.0.2.15 with the first instance and then increment. I have also tried the forwarding, which looks straight forward. But the host does not detect the ports even just scanning. I am using macOS 11.1, but that should not make a difference. Let me know, if you have other ideas.I think you need to use the IP of the Windows Guest (in my case it is 10.0.2.15...your's might be different).
So I just tried this, and still no luck.Did you "unmount" the drive in MacOS first? (not Eject)
If it's not good enough to you in parallel then it may be not good enough to you on M1 as either.Hi all,
I sometimes have to develop Windows applications (C# .NET Framework / C# .Net Core Desktop x64) and just wanted to know if anyone out there tried the new windows on arm with x64 emulation and Visual Studio 2019? Is it fast and responsive (maybe with a short video if you've the time for that )?
Currently, I use Parallels for those days but I find Visual Studio slow and unresponsive (in my opinion Visual Studio actually is quite slow compared to other IDEs, but in Parallels I find that the performance isn't quite well). I think about buying the Apple Mini with M1 chip if it performs well with my case.
Is there a way to direct download build (21277) somehow? I am not having success with installing build 20231 and then updating with the insider preview program. So I built a blank 50gb qcow2 drive and set it as the system drive. Then I downloaded via UU the latest build of Windows on Arm (21277). After building the ISO, I set it into a VM with 4 cores and 8gb of memory.
Then I installed Windows and did all of my normal configurations. I logged into my Office 365 account and installed the 32 bit version of office. I'm extremely surprised how good the performance of this is. I have attached a video of opening excel. Please excuse the shaking!

You can download a generator script on this site and build an ISO on your own. It takes some time, but it is working. Is there a way to direct download build (21277) somehow? I am not having success with installing build 20231 and then updating with the insider preview program.
I have downloaded the files but am unable to make an ISO. Which script do I need to run? "convert.sh" errors outYou can download a generator script on this site and build an ISO on your own. It takes some time, but it is working.
As far as I can see, this is was tdar described.

I am afraid that I cheated. I used a Windows 10 system to make the ISO. The Mac script is uup_download_macos.shI have downloaded the files but am unable to make an ISO. Which script do I need to run? "convert.sh" errors out

Look back at page 10 of this thread at post 230. It's got the information about how to get SMB networking to work. How could I export / share a file from W10 arm / ACVM to macOS?
