Reality show on the T-Mobile forums every year lol
For real. Last year was not too bad though. I pre-ordered my mother inlaw’s iPhone X and was pretty uneventful. Think I only posted here like 4 times. Maybe because I was not worried to much, being that it was not even my phone! Lol
[doublepost=1537498666][/doublepost]@nateatlarge I remember everyone asking for you last year! Where were you?

Just tell them you want free overnight

Yep. He told me it was x amount of dollars for overnight shipping. I told him I’d never paid shipping and wasn’t going to that night either. He waived it.

my phone iphone XS MAX 64GB gold has departed Newark at 9:34 and on the way to CC center For sorting and pick up BTW can my mom who lives with me pick up the package as long as she has ID and my Tracking number

SHIPPING METHOD OVERNIGHT AIR SAVER

UPS told me the person who picks up had to have an id that matched the address on the original package or they wouldn’t release it.

Hmm you seriously just made me consider not opening my xs jod preorder, return it, and doing an upgrade on my sons line and do the same thing to get out of my 8 plus jod! Maybe even do the add another line for $700 off
So to recap my iPhone XS pre-order journey:

I had a 5 line T-Mobile One plan.
My line currently has an iPhone 8 Plus on JoD.
At 12:01am I contacted T-Force about a JoD upgrade to iPhone XS. Was told $279 down.
Simultaneously, I had T-Mobile.com loaded and was showing $0 eligible on EIP on my other lines.
12:10am, told T-Force to shove it, and ordered an upgrade on my mom's line. iPhone XS 64GB Space Grey. Paid $86 in taxes. Order complete and agreement signed by 12:15am.
Sunday morning, Case Debit card charged for the $86 in taxes.
Later Sunday morning, I hear T-Mobile is finally doing a BOGO $700 off (like the other carriers). I message T-Force and add a line and order a second XS 64GB (This time it's Gold). Used a different debit card (BofA)... card charged $113 immediately (Taxes plus SIM card).

Monday morning, I finally get my IMEI and EIP contract to show in My T-Mobile for the first iPhone XS order. Also correctly setup UPS MyChoice in my girlfriend's name (she is T-Mobile account holder) and get the tracking on the first phone. Also re-direct to local UPS CC. The tracking has never shown a date, but since changing the delivery to the Customer Center, it has been in "EXCEPTION" status with no date. I still expect it to be there Friday morning. Pics:

As for my second order, there has been no movement. Not even an indication in my account of a new line added. No additional tracking numbers in UPS MyChoice. Nothing. I even check the order status on the external status page for new lines and that status hasn't changed. Pic:

Hopefully the second comes Friday too. Hopefully I get tracking in time to redirect that on to the UPS CC as well.

After I receive the new phones, my current JoD Product Red iPhone 8 Plus will JoD "upgrade" to a cheap T-Mobile Revvl... spend 1 day with me and then be returned for a $50 restocking fee. Easy way to get out of the $800 still owed on the iPhone 8 Plus lease.

So complicated... yet so fun.

T-Mobile jump was supposed to be a way to get the latest phones often without hassle. Turns out it's a way to pay huge down payments, be pointed in different directions and wait.

JOD was awesome before when it was 0 down. Now especially with iphones that have a high resale value I'm questioning if the plan is worth it. I was lucky to get the lowest down on JOD but if I had the higher down payment I would have gone through apple (not that T-mobile cares).
