Carrier T-Mobile 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

No, too cheap to pay for extra on plan. Generally don’t have any issues with my iPhones. Only had a hairline crack on my iPhone 6 like a week after I bought it because I threw it on my jacket pocket and very edge of screen cracked when hit my belt’s buckle. Got it replaced a few months later when my iPhone started acting up (was mostly software, but was able to convince genius bar guy to exchange it for free)

Aside from that, no issues— dating back to 1st gen iPhone. (Cannot knock on wood enough)

Same departure scan. Nothing since. Scheduled for Tuesday as well.
 
Am I the only one with ground that has a Saturday delivery? BTW I emailed John and got a call from his office. Got a $75 credit. They claim they are aware of the issues with ground shipping and how unclear it was made especially to people ordering through customer service and said they’d have it fixed for the launch of the Xr. Let’s hope so.

It's $15/month for newer iPhone's. Also covers loss and theft, and give you access to Apple care. You can get two $29 screen replacements if you need them. I guess that price adds up over time but I think it's always better to be insured.

I think the last time I used phone insurance was back when I had a T-Mobile Wing. I have to have it though… Just in case.
 
For all those asking about ground shipping (and I am one of them), I found this chart on UPS' site regarding what locations receive UPS Ground shipping on Saturdays. My tracking shows delivery tomorrow, and from what I read, delivery on Saturday is at no extra charge if the delivery is in one of the following locations. I hope this is the case and I don't wake up to a Monday delay... fingers crossed!

I was here the entire day and I have a security camera. UPS never showed up to deliver the package. Also, there was no 'Out for Delivery' scan - it simply went from 'Arrival' scan to 'Receiver Not Available'! Is it possible for them to attempt to deliver a package without it being scanned before leaving the warehouse?

Same here. Atlanta is on the list so I guess I’ll get mine tomorrow. Last update I got tracking wise was a destination scan from my local UPS around 3:30pm

I doubt it. Sounds like there was some sort of exception and it generated the wrong reason for the exception.

Was sure to ask for overnight shipping because when tried to do order online a fee of 25$ was being applied — and I was not having that. Rep was helpful and gave me overnight free of charge as courtesy.

IMEI showed up on T-Mobile on 09/19/2018
Got UPS (Next Day Air) tracking number late on 09/18/2018
origin scan happened on 09/20/2018 at 11:14AM
Delivered: 09/21/2018 around 1:00PM

Very happy with my purchase and how T-Force came through for me this year.

Omg now it’s leaving Kentucky now, so mad at T-Mobile this year for pre ordering a phone I didn’t get on launch day

I'm in Phoenix too. And I'm also pissed about not getting my phone today. I got the case and screen protectors, but nothing to put them on.

T-Mobile should have gave online orders first dibs on the orders

Ofcourse they should have. That's the point of a pre-order.
 
For everyone that got it, how are your speeds? I’m averaging 10mbps down and 30 up in places I used to get 50-70mbps down and 15-25 up. Seems like the download speeds took a hit compared to my 6s. Will have to compare side by side tomorrow with other tmobile phones.
 
Ordered my 64gb Gold Max Tuesday night in the store. Paid for overnight shipping. Card was charged yesterday afternoon and the phone was delivered at 11am this morning. Awesome phone and great experience here.

Did anyone do the Apple Care/T-Mobile Insurance combo for $15 a month? I asked for AppleCare when I pre-ordered but it was never applied. I inquired about it in store today, and T-Mobile told me about the monthly AppleCare combo that they offer. I've never heard of this before. Did you guys do straight up AppleCare or the T-Mobile version?

Got off the phone with T-Mobile, according to their reps I am at fault for their **** ups and they are sorry and understand what I had to go through to get a phone because I was going to be SOL for 6 days without a phone! sent John Legere a very nice e-mail letting him know how terrible his customer service is, and that they need to make this right by me. Let's see how they respond...

This watch is awesome. The 44mm is a huge improvement. Still trying to decide if I want a protector on it. I installed a plastic one. It definitely impacts the screen quality. This is going to drive me crazy. At least this is a discraction from thinking about where my phone is...

I bought AppleCare directly from Apple, the less I tie to tmo, the better.
