Mine is still floating out there. Placed within 5 minutes of pre orders going live. Still no tracking on a 64gb max. Hilarious. Pretty much done with this. All tmobile does is ask me to wait.

Anyone still waiting should go to the store and buy one, then refuse the shipment when your pre order arrives. This makes pre ordering seem pointless to me.

Soooooo, I guess it WAS in stock, because now it is out for delivery!!! Apparently T-Mobile knew I had a really crappy Wednesday schedule so they thought they would send it overnight. At least I will have time to set it up - and be here so Mr Grumpy Pants will leave it. Woohoo!!!

But I seriously feel rotten that I’m getting it before some of you that ordered at The butt crack of dawn. Not enough to not open it though...

Now, about that watch that should be here by 12/31....

Just the tracking number on the UPS side. Based from what I read here, T-mobile's site is a bit lackluster on updates.

Got mine! Pretty painless process. For anyone who might be Googling this -

Ordered - 9/22 on T-Mobile.com
Model - Xs 64GB SG
Shipping - 2/3 business day UPS
Delivered - 9/25

With the Costco deal, could they order you an out of stock iPhone XS or XS Max for pick up or delivery to a home address?

And to get the full MasterCard, do you have to keep one of the new SIMs in one of the two new devices if you already have service and would just add a line? Or I can stick the new line in a crappy Nexus 5X and have that showing usage until I get my prepaid debit card?

From speaking to one of their associates yesterday my understanding is that you have to buy and pay for the phones up front in store..... they didnt have any stock and I asked about potentially shipping to home, he told me its not an option for the BOGO deal and specifically said the phones have to be purchased and paid full price in store.

as for sim card, as long as you initially activate the phone with the new line you can pop any T-mobile sim in there and use the phone as you wish... and vice versa pop the new line sim in to any T-mobile phone and use it there. I don't see any reason why you would not be able to do that. People sell phones, and switch phones all the time.

I plan on doing this deal with a friend, he will add a new line to his account and then we will split the total cost and I will take one of the phones and use on my T-mobile account. I don't foresee any issues as long as he performs the initial activation of the phone under the new added line.

Have a feeling it then goes to main UPS station, then substation, then delivery. No other reason it would still be tommorow. But hey, I’m pretty much over it.
That is how it goes. Lift the trailer off the train, drive it over. I swear it was the most exasperating experience. Then there was some unload delay in Jacksonville. I was ready to drive up and unload it myself.

I did the BOGO at the T-Mobile store yesterday on EIP no problems. I read their sheet even - EIP allowed, no trade in required, add a line yes.

Now the Costco deal may differ, but you can do it in the store.

the problem is that the T-mobile deal pays you the $700 over 24 months so you have to keep the line open.... Costco sends you a mastercard in 6-8 weeks and you can cancel the opened line as soon as you get it. And also Costco gives you $50 on each phone right now.

Got it. We don’t have a Costco up here, so I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the offer.

I’m moving my daughter from sprint to the tmo plan, so we just used that for her. We had a free line and I put my watch on it. Win win! Not that I will get the watch this month or next... lol

That's awesome, if you have a use for the extra line it works out great... and getting the extra free line is icing on the cake.

What I ended up doing is taking T-Mobile's BOGO deal instead. Costco was a mess with trying to get a new phone. I sold my iPhone 8+ last Thursday, so I was stuck using a 2 year old Nexus 5X w/ no battery and a ton of lag.

I am splitting the cost of a new device down 50/50 with someone else and then using the $ from selling the 8+ to pay down my difference owed. They're doing the same with their Note 8 too.

Pre-ordering normally isn't so easy because of back orders. I remember I settled for a 256gb iPhone 7+ because I couldn't find a 128gb anywhere. The X took out a lot of would be purchasers. The XS/Max pricing scares people off because the upgrade isn't substantial enough to warrant another $999 or $1099 purchase. Some people paid up to get the Max for the screen size though.

I walked into a T-Mobile last Friday morning and got two Gold XS Maxes 64gb. Only color they had too. I was looking to get Silver, but I said I would settle for Gold if they had. But then I saw the Gold on display and said it looked even better in person, so idc about not having Silver.

Now, about that watch that should be here by 12/31....

I was gonna order the watch from T-Mobile, but after the down-payments that I was assured about ten times would not happen for any entry (GB size) iPhone, i didn’t follow through.

Ordered next day through Best Buy with “will ship on 21st”. 21st came and went, and that’s when T-Mobile’s ground shipping hit home. Best Buy had a fun message of “if we don’t ship it out by October 22nd, we will let you know” so I thought that was a lost cause as well.

Color me surprised when they created a shipping label last night and I’m getting the watch today, a whole day before the iPhones that were ordered at the stroke of midnight on the 14th.

Good luck on both your phone, hopefully you’re reading this on it, and I hope you get your watch soon as well.

Oh man, here is hoping the watch shows up early. My gen 1 is lagging in battery life to keep up with my heart monitoring right now.

And nope, still waiting on UPS, he should be here by 2, or I will have to go to the depot tonight. He hates a tree in my driveway.

Someone had posted they could, with like next day? I couldn’t either though.

I’m all set up, returning my ESR clear case, does not fit well along the edges at the buttons. Bows out. Crap, and now I’m caseless.

The max is heavier than my 6, but lighter than my iPad Pro 12.9! Lol

I’m hoping for same results. I ordered Sunday. Xs 64gb Silver. Scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

It is done.

Phones arrived.

All is well.

Life is complete.

Quick Review:

- Screen size is everything I wanted. I can still use it one-handed (shout out to having big hands)
- Quality in your hands feels glorious. Almost enough for me to think about a life without a case, but a fool I am not.
- Resolution is wonderful, color quality and True Tone Display are great features
- Face ID works much faster than I anticipated. Either Apple updated the software/hardware or the previous complaints about it not working all the time were a tad exaggerated. However, this is my first phone with Face ID, so the jury may still be out. One thing I noticed is that it works (for me that is) when I wear sunglasses or standard glasses. Lovely.
- Stereo is noticeably louder than my old iPhone 7 Plus. Greatly appreciated.
- Gesture control is more intuitive than I would imagine, I've adapted quite nicely and everything feels natural.
- Fast charging is a welcome, welcome feature.

Now, I need to order 2 Apple Watches, but am waiting until stock is available inside Apple Stores, because CLEARLY ordering through T-Mobile would be an unwise choice. I think we have ALL learned some valuable decisions here.

Other than that, the phone feels amazing. The cost, being what it is, DOES (to me) feel justified (I have the 256GB Model), I had plenty of storage left on 128GB iPhone 7 Plus, so I anticipate be cool for the foreseeable future.

It has been yet another wild ride in the Land of T-Mobile Pre-Orders.

.I ordered, in store but via business care (to have them waive shipping) the BOGO offer yesterday around 4pm. 1 silver max 256 and 1 red 8 Plus 64, and then a silver watch.

The 2 phones were delivered TODAY, less than 24 hours from ordering.

I got lucky in stock - he refreshed and the Max went from out of stock to in, so he snagged it. The watch however has a delivery date of !!/7-12/31....

You might want to get in line now! Lol

I’m coming from a 6, and agree with everything you said. I think I will be keeping this one just as long.

My JOD experience. I have 2 lines each with an iPhone 8 (zero down) that I purchased on EIP that comes with JOD. I had 11 payments already made and decided to upgrade both lines to Xs. I made any extra payment for each online and that immediately showed 12 payments made and now JOD eligible. Went through the purchase process on the website and it was super easy. Tmobile will payoff the $350 balance on each line and replace with the new EIP plan for the Xs ($0 down and $41 per month). Hated paying sales tax all up front but what can you do?

Now the entire household is on Xs models and not looking to upgrade for another couple years. JOD is a good plan as long you time the 50% payoff to the same month or later of your next upgrade. While a down payment counts towards your 50% payoff, you still end up making 12 or more payments due to monthly EIP bill so in that case, you may be better off paying the remaining balance and trading in or selling via 3rd party. Optimal JOD is pay exactly 50% at the time of upgrade.

I had a feeling that even though UPS always delivers to me around 1pm. That this would be they Day they don’t come around til the evening lol.

Finally got my phone all set up. Y’all wouldn’t believe what I went through to get my phone. So they attempted to deliver my phone while I was at work and instead of same day access point they was trying to have me pick up tomorrow. So I called ups to schedule a pick up for today while I’m omw home at the hub. 5 mins later someone calls from the hub I explain the situation she goes am I by my house because he’s around the corner delivering packages I can tell him to hold it. Lucky I was by my house as I was omw home from work. I was able to get my phone instead of waiting hours for the truck to come back. It’s weird that he comes to my area around noon only to come back remind you the access point is around the corner from my house anyway this experience has been lost no and tiring. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting
