Got my phone around lunch time today! Thankfully the package wasn't soaked from the torrential downpour in Manhattan. Anyway, just got home and setting it up now. Love, love, love the new gold color. It's been real y'all. See y'all here again next year!

Has anyone had an issue with trade in program? Of course I took advantage of the iPhone trade in, which I have an iPhone 7 Plus in great shape. $300 is what they were advertising. I got my iPhone XS Max and was printing out my paperwork to return my iPhone 7 Plus and I noticed the quote was $192 for my trade in. I contacted T-Mobile and the rep said that “during the pre order on the 16th the promotion was not active, not until the 17th” I told that’s not true and proved to them it was active on the 16th and now they said they will do an investigation.

Seems like they are trying to give me the run around but $300 is what I was quoted over the phone when I did my pre order and now I’m quoted $192 via the trade in paperwork.

I think I’ve seen this before when I’ve done a Jump. The paperwork will list the trade in value that they give everyone (outside a promo) even though with Jump they would pay off the remaining balance owed. I wouldn’t stress too much about it. Also, I just ran a quick quote on https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-trade-in.html and it returned the value of $192 despite there being an active promo of a higher value.

You will receive the trade in value as a bill credit and the remainder of the 300 in the form of a gift card as per the fine print.

Anybody have any luck with inventory in Costco? I want to do the BOGO $700 deal with them but they have not had any inventory come in on the XS Max and i am reading online that the deal expires 9/27..... It would suck if the deal came and went and they never got inventory to fulfill it (unless they purposedly did it that way)

Get ready for a recall. #antennagate is back except this time a case can’t fix it

I read elsewhere that it didn't affect GSM networks, which is what T-Mobile and AT&T use. I know this article says it's not limited by carrier. Or it could be that GSM has always sucked on iPhones and it just never got better. Hopefully in any case it'll be fixable with a patch.

My XS is on its way finally, so I guess I'll know next week.

Well seems like Xs 64 GB is easily available. Ordered 2 on Tues 9/25, just got shipping update for Thurs 9/27 delivery. Got overnight shipping even thought I selected the free 2 day shipping.

FINALLY got my Max today. Been playing with it for the past hour. Only one slight issue with it but nothing too irritating that would prompt me to exchange it.

Lesson for next time: pay for overnight shipping if the free overnight option isn’t there. Then get CREDIT to my account from customer support for having to pay for overnight shipping. Never rely on T-Mobile to be smart about preorder shipping.

What's the issue? You're right about the shipping. Waiting for ground was bad.

The back glass on the right side of the phone protrudes ever so slightly at the edge. I can’t even see the protrusion but I can FEEL the sharp edge of the glass when holding the phone in my right hand. Not a huge deal, just means the transition from the steel band to the back glass isn’t as smooth as it was on my X. A minor annoyance.

Is there any reason to go with the "T-Mobile" iPhone XS Max over the "Unlocked" version directly from Apple?

Functionality wise? No. The only difference (I think) is that the Unlocked one is truly unlocked from day one whereas the T-Mobile one is carrier locked for a set period of time.

I can't get my screen protectors to stick on the bottom edge of my max. I've tried 3. Their highly rated on Amazon and the same ones that were perfect on my iPhone X. Anyone have this problem? Any advise? I'm really OCD about this.

I have T-mobile's protection 360, so I might just go in store and take advantage of their install and free replacements.
