Wait what? I was told I’d get $300 if I traded in my iPhone 7. Where do you see a get $700 off 2?

Yeah, it was a promo that T-Mobile had (and Verizon) where if you added a line and bought two phones, you'd get $700 in $30 a month credit for 2 years. T-Mobile had it the first week the new iPhones went on sale. I believe it ended at the end of September. So this, plus ~$400 for the two iPhone 7s I'm trading in seperately, means I got an iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max for ~$1000.

Thinking about making the switch from Sprint to T Mobile and upgrading from the 7 plus to the XS Max. Has anyone experienced the WiFi/LTE issues that other cell phone providers are having?

I got mine on release day but it came defective so I had to order a new one, the ship date keeps getting pushed back, which is odd to me since I got one on time after everyone else pre-ordered. lol

You should have just taken it to an Apple Store to get it swapped out.

What happens with that? Do they give you your swap one back?

I remember I had a defective Nintendo Switch and Target was like tough luck bro you will have to wait 5 more months for these to be In stock to save Princess Zelda

So I ordered an iPhone XS Max on 9 Oct. Label created on 10 Oct with an estimated delivery of 12 Oct. There is no additional info other than the label being created on 10 Oct. Should there be some movement since I paid for UPS 2nd Day Air? My expected ship date 10/09/2018 - 10/11/2018

Through a series of unfortunate events, I had to create a new order after a week and a half of waiting. I won't get into the details of that, but my new order for a Space Gray iPhone XS Max 64GB was placed October 7th and was originally scheduled for Oct. 17 shipment. However, the order was processed Oct. 9th and delivered the next day. So it seems availability is improving.

How do you get the iPhone XS max without the $379 down payment ? I haven't even looked into this seriously yet, only stopped by a local T-Mobile store last week, to window shop. Without looking up my details or name or anything, the sales lady said all XS max require a $400 down payment regardless of credit or history with T-Mobile. She said even if you have a 800+ credit score and been with T-Mobile ten years with perfect payment history, it's $400 for everyone.

But I have read people actually getting it for like $99 down, how do you do that ?

I have been with T-Mobile 4 years now, perfect payments, never missed a payment ever. And my credit score is like 785 last I checked.

Lady says no matter what your credit score is the $379 depoist is mandatory for every customer.

My wife got it for 100 bucks plus 40 a month. Is your credit bad? And they gave her $300 for her 7

Maybe they are just too rare in your area

Apple rep told me that going through T-Mobile was all I could do since I got it through them. Which makes sense I guess.

Kallum.

Not at all accurate. Apple will ALWAYS swap out defective devices regardless if they were bought via Tmobile or not. That apple employee was probably new.

Did you try setting up a Genius bar appointment versus returning it?

Yeah and I was told by I believe a couple people that repair is the only option as I didn’t buy at an Apple store.

Strange. I had rough edges on my max, and they replaced it no questions asked at the Apple Store. I told them I got it through T-Mobile and they said it's fine. I tried going to T-Mobile first and they told me to go to Apple.

Just got the iPhone Xs today in silver...

SO GLAD I passed up the X as Band 71 was a MUST.

I take back everything everything negative I said about the price. This phone is worth EVERY PENNY!!!

It feels flipping AMAZING in my hands, and Face ID is dumping all over Touch ID. My screen is perfect with no pink or greenish hues. Apple absolutely hit it out of the park with this phone.

For the record I got the Xs Silver 256GB. This phone is the perfect size. I upgraded from the iPhone 7 and BOY is this superior in every single way.

I've wanted to ditch the home button before there ever was an iPhone X. Band 71 was a must, and wireless charging is super nice... No more FUMBLING with the lightning charger.

Just wanted to share my experiences with everyone. Peace!!!

I only had to pay $249 down plus tax for the Max. I was told I had $1000 line of credit basically with them for paying off 2 phones and paying my bill on time every month.

This is what I see right now when logging into my account. T-Mobile customer for only 1 year... (Since I am logged into MyT-Mobile, these prices are reflective of what I will actually pay if I ordered right now.)

I see the same thing. I tried adding them to my cart and see what happens when I come to the payment screen, but I keep getting an error message taking me back a step. I clarified through chat and the $249.99 down and $27.78 monthly EIP is because T-Mobile is now offering 36 months instead of 24 months. I first saw it on the Note 9 yesterday.

thanks I haven't actually logged into my account to try that yet I'll take a look later today

I was told I would receive $300 for my iPhone 7 trade. I sent in the phone with zero issues, perfect screen and case. I just found out that ‘fair market value’ for the phone is $187 and that’s all I get.

How can they get away with this!?

If you got the $300 promotional trade in, the balance of the amount will be credited to your EIP payments over 24 months.

Correct, they are only applying $187 in credits and not the $300. If you check their website today, it clearly states you get $300 for an iPhone 7. They are stating fair market value only.

When you call Tmobile, they will tell you the following - you receive a one time credit of $187 and the balance of $113 will be given to you with each EIP payment over 24 months or $4.71 per month. The total at the end of 24 months will be $300 credit.

That makes more sense. Unfortunately, that is not what was explained to me when I called them. I was told I would only get $187 trade in credit based on fair market value. I’ll wait to see my bill next month.

Thanks for taking the time to explain that.

You should make sure they confirm you have the promotion and not just the regular trade in.
