Has anyone had experience moving from Sprint over to T Mobile? If so, was it an upgrade in coverage and service?

Thanks!

Hey Guys,

So my order status is still saying processing. I placed the order on Tuesday September 25th. iPhone XS Max Silver 64GB. it has an estimating shipping date of 10/3/2018-10/9/2018

Has anyone purchased on a similar timeframe and received their tracking info yet? I haven't been charged or anything.

I have the same shipping date and ordered around the same time. My credit card was charged today. No shipping in formation yet.

I returned my XS and got the XS Max. I ordered the XS Max on Monday and it’ll be here tomorrow!

Got word back that they found an issue with the trade in and the value was reduced. The phone was a 65 and was in perfect condition except maybe, maybe one little spec of a nick. You would have to look for it. The phone had a glass screen protector on it from day one and a case as well.It also just had a new battery rput in by apple a month ago.

I have read stories that they inevitably find issues and reduce the amount but didnt think it would happen to mine.

Anyone else have an issue with traded in???? I think they were originally quoting me $85 (the promo was for $200 though) and they reduced it to $82. So only a few bucks. (at least I think i will still get the promo trade in amount of $200. If that was reduced to $82 then I will be pissed)

PS Luckily the tmobile store rep told me to take pictures of my phone before I shipped it. So I have very good pics.

Very odd. Never had an issue when trading phones. What they did for me this year is that they gave me upfront credit for the traded device (value of trade in today) and then I am getting the difference as monthly bill credit for the next 24 months.

Anyone else who has/had a backordered iPhone through T-Mobile see their expected ship date jump all over the place and/or be different than what they tell you on the phone when you call and ask? My space gray max 64GB is supposed to be 10/3-10/5, but it currently says 10/30-11/15 on the order status page. Then when I call they say everything is fine and they see 10/3-10/5.

That sucks. The guy above said he ordered on Monday and is getting it tomorrow.. I have no idea how he managed to do that. I ordered mine last Saturday and the expected ship date is 10/13/18 - 11/3/18. I guess instead of giving me a small range to work with let's just give it a huge window instead to account for any delays.

Be encouraged. Certain models are getting significant bumps...particularly the 512 Max in SG. I ordered one through the T-Mobile app on the 1st. I received a 10/10 - 10/16 ship date. The device arrived today. Fantastic turn-around.

I havent had my dates change however i still have not received any updates since purchasing on the 25th. my order status still looks as such. I'm sure the date will change since its already the 5th of the month and the estimated ship date is 10/3-10/9

Does anyone else have this time frame?

Nope. No credit card charge or tracking number... I'll update everyone after I call them tonight. Does anyone know if there is a "tier 2" customer support that has access to more information than the regular agents you get? My experience with them has been less than stellar and they don't seem to be able to see very deeply into the system.

What is strange to me is that my status has been "backordered" the whole time, but yours "being processed" - and we both have similar shipping time frames.

That’s not surprising, even T-Mobile’s got most larger size models in stock. It’s the Max 64gbs that are hard to come by. I only ordered from T-Mobile to take advantage of the $700 credit they offered. Otherwise I would have gone direct to begin with. For $700 I’ll play their terrible waiting game a couple weeks.

That is small.

My watch range is 11/7-12/31. Wanna trade??? Lol

Same, I was able to get the device for $99 down but I finally went ahead and cancelled the order. T-Mobile has no idea when they are receiving devices and with the apple program it’s cheaper than the $99 down so I decided to just buy it from apple where all color and sizes are in stock at their stores.

Yeah, there are definitely less upfront costs with the Apple program, but you can’t beat the overall cost of the $700 off two iPhones deal.

Wait what? I was told I’d get $300 if I traded in my iPhone 7. Where do you see a get $700 off 2?

I got 4 iPhone 7s for switching from AT&T 2 years ago.

As for the guy who asked about the coverage. Sprint is garbage. For the most part T-Mobile I don’t notice any coverage issues but I live in New England. When I go up tall mountains the phone doesn’t work at all. No internet or reception at all. It happened 1 time in the Catskills in NY. But my friends had at&t and it didn’t work either just my other friend who had Verizon.

I have 4 lines for 90 with Netflix!!!! It’s the $18 Netflix. So basically 4 lines for $70!!! So I don’t mind that when I go hiking the coverage is spotty. I am in places where it always works. Will say the internet is noticeably slower then AT&T where I live. As for the spotty coverage I lived in Boston for 5 years and it was a 2-3 mile drive in a major road between Bentley college and BOston college that Verizon didnt work all. So all networks are spotty.
