Ok, I just sent a message to Tmo, via facebook messenger, and got my tracking number from them. UPS says that my package is coming from Jeffersonville, IN
 
I'm currently doing a chat on the Tmobile app with a customer service rep, and he/she is telling me that no one will be getting their phones on 9/21. He/she is saying that 9/21 is the ship date. When I clarified and said that delivered by and shipped by are two different dates, he/she clearly said yes, all Tmobile customers will have phones SHIPPED BY 9/21. So then I again asked, "so then no one will be getting their phones on 9/21? That's when they will be sent out?". And he/she stated, "Yes, 9/21 is the start of the shipping for all T-mobile customers."

Hmmm...

I got my UPS notification but it shows Ground shipping. He/she said that it takes 3-5 days to get it shipped with Ground. He/she then said that with the phone being shipped on 9/21, it would take 3-5 business days after that to get my house...

I don't know if I should believe this person. Something doesn't seem right.

I would not believe that person. Probably the same incompetent one who placed my watch order @ 2:01am cst, that took 40 minutes to order two watches, lol.

Sorry but that's wrong info. It's never been like that before. It's just a place holder T Mobile uses but they always ship and arrive by release date assuming you got your order in early enough. I also have ground shipping and a t mo rep told me all pre orders are delivered by 9/21, UPS ground shipments will leave sooner so they can arrive by then.
 
Every year people get different word from different reps. If you preordered first day and it says 9/21, there is a 99.9% chance you'll get it day one unless something else changed.

You don't have UPS tracking info yet, correct? I would not be surprised if they fix it before sending out... Like others have said, every pre-order they usually overnight things. Unless they are trying to make a few extra dollars this year...

Has anyone heard if they will have the 256 in the stores?

Jealous of your orders, we haven’t figured out what the heck we are doing yet. I’m in FL and the man is working in Washington state until past my bedtime. We are playing musical lines and adding a kid - so, ACK!!
 
yeah i remember that happened with the 7 as well
My 7 Plus label showed up on UPS like on a Wednesday and did not have any movement until 1AM of the day it got delivered. That was a stressful pre-order.

I currently have myUPS info, but it says Scheduled Delivery: Information Unavailable, and also shows UPS Ground. IMEI number, and any updates on Tmobile aren't being shown. I was also charged yesterday on my card.

The rep is still defending his/her "the phone will be shipped on 9/21, and delivery will be 3-5 business days after that with ground"...

I got charged, and my order says estimated shipping dates 2018-09-21 - 2018-09-21.

I've been on 12 all summer, hopped on the beta when it first came out. This was by far the most stable beta ever. Issues were few and far between. No resets or hard crashes whatsoever. Had a couple apps crash at first, but thats usually a developer issue, and not the iOs itself.

Since this is pre order and the phone isn’t actually available till 9/21, they have to say this bs. From my experience, al cs reps for all the carriers don’t know what they’re talking about.

You would be better off doing it now I think. I placed an order last night and i realized it was wrong after I signed the agreement. Called back and placed a new order and when I said others were getting free 2 day shipping (and I also remembered they waived the shipping last year), they waived it.

Hate to tell you this, but were drastically overcharged. Should be $109 down plus tax and $40 per month. If you make all the payments, it will work out the same, but you shouldn’t have to pony up such a huge down payment.

I'm not going to place a new order because I don't want to wait any longer and risk not getting it for 3-4 weeks. I've never had a problem with T-Mobile taking care of something for me with a bill credit when they've mess up before.

In terms of being overcharged, technically that's not the case because those downpayment amounts are what were advertised. If you and others got something lower, good for you, but I am not sure why.
 
I see a lot of post that says according to shipping info they’ll receive “by Friday”. I know with fedex they are put on a restricted hold. With UPS? First time doing pre order with TMo/UPS as shipper. Last year had VZW they used fedex.
So chances of an arrival prior to 21st?
The Verizon FedEx things usually start moving and get held at the regional FedEx before your location the day before launch... With UPS, you'll get a tracking number -- but no movement or origin scan until the day prior.

Hilarious reading this forum every year and watch every freak out. Everyone keeps going back to customer care to ask people who don’t know any more info than you do when it comes to when you’ll receive your phone. Then on launch day, everyone gets them
 
Ordered Xs max 256 in space gray, but the ship date slipped to 9/26-10/2, but I'm hopeful it gets here day one. My wife's X arrived on day one and the date had slipped. I think they're often conservative in their shipping estimates to head off angry customers
