Exactly, everyone saying that ground shipping delivers on Friday is talking about seeing 'ground shipping' in the T-Mobile app, not ground shipping in My Choice
nope i was talking about seeing ground shipping on my ups

Just spoke with a T-Mobile Executive Response member from John's office. Long story short, if you have UPS Ground in your My Choice, you're more than likely getting the phone on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. If you have anything BUT UPS Ground in your My Choice, you're getting it Friday. He told me that they have to wait until Apple tells them to start shipping, they're not allowed to start shipping any time sooner than that. Apparently shipping will likely start late tomorrow morning (Thursday).
Looks like I'll have to wait until Tuesday. I know people keep saying "ground shipping arrives on Friday every year" but I think they're referencing those that had "Ground" in their T-Mobile account, NOT those that had Ground in My Choice. I've never heard of any iPhone (through Apple or not) that gets there overnight if the actual shipping label says ground, there's absolutely no way UPS has some 'special system' or overclocks their shipping process just because it's iPhone day.
If your UPS label says ground, it's regular old ground shipping. No exceptions. Happy to be proven wrong come tomorrow/Friday.
But they shipped yours Next Day Air Saver. I’m talking about the people whose UPS tracking is showing ground. They did last year for my iPhone X and I ordered way after launch. It's possible.

If you have a tracking number and it says “processing waiting for UPS” YOU WILL GET YOUR PHONE FRIDAY. Rather it says Ground, 2nd day air, overnight, tonight, whatever. Calm down people, we won’t see movement until the morning. I pre order every year, I have been since the 6 Plus. It’s always like this. T-Mobile reps don’t know what they are talking about and most of them are new for this release. Once again if you already have a tracking number, you’ll be receiving your phone Friday
No answer unfortunately but a few of us do have UPS ground. I'm on the west coast too(Utah) so no way it's getting here by Friday if it does ship ground.
My email confirmation says Overnight, UPS tracking says next day air saver for me as well.
Uh huhOnce again if you already have a tracking number, you’ll be receiving your phone Friday
some movement this morning. charges hitting, maybe some tracking. I am still waiting for my chargeHey peeps! Any news for the watches? I got charged this morning but nothing since then...

we still have a whole day for things to change. the device could be shipped tomorrow night at 10p and still make it friday.Friggin annoying. 2 of the 3 phones I ordered Friday morning have tracking numbers. But the phone I ordered first, order completed at 12:33am on Friday, an Xs Max 64 GB Gold, T-Mobile says they haven't received from Apple yet and "probably won't ship until 9/21".
I hope they are wrong and it still manages to come though for Friday delivery.
Think it makes perfect sense. Its a mistake that tmobile csr did. The moment that label was generated as ground, UPS will process that package as ground and nothing else. This makes no sense
It does not matter what shipping you have, as long as you have a tracking number you’ll receive your phone Friday. These phones are going out on planes early tomorrow after they receive them from Apple. All of our Labels are made because we have a phone assigned waiting to be shipped out. T-Mobile Will have the phones from Apple by tonight and then trucks will start transporting to local UPS’s tomorrow night/ Friday morning. They are all coming from Indiana, and you will be fine. I guarantee it . There were no shipping options because everyone who ore orders get free overnight delivery no matter what actual shipping may say on the confirmation. Trust me, you have a day and a half. We all will see hella movement starting tomorrow . Planes travel fast, remember thatThink it makes perfect sense. Its a mistake that tmobile csr did. A couple of things to consider:
1) Apple and carriers do have a lot of influence over UPS, FedEx for business since htey're such high volume. They absolutely can put an agreement in place and stage product for a delivery at a certain time with a non-standard rate.
2) this map for Ground from the T-Mobile warehouse.
