My CC was charged early this morning (about 4am PDT), but I'm still stuck in "Pre-Order." My 256SG order was placed around 12:45am PDT, and has had a 11/2-3 date since then.

Tracking my shipment now in My Choice. I was able to request pickup at a local UPS hub nearby. I'm hoping maybe I can pick it up there if it gets delivered early like Thursday night. If not- at least I can guarantee I'll have it by 10am.

Is it just me or has this been the LEAST drama filled T-Mobile preorder thread of the past 5 years????

I was going through the old 7/7+ Preorder thread and it was a cesspool of ****ery. Orders that had been Ghost canceled, systems going down, t-mobile employees giving false info, phones being delivered early, phones not being delivered at all, pure pandemonium in that thread...

This year it’s been almost TOO painless

I can now see tracking via the UPS tracking number generated on My T-Mobile. Only a label created so far so we’ll see, when it updates, if I’m supposed to get it on the 3rd.

Whoa. I preordered at 8am the day pre-orders were available. I didn’t pull an all nighter and was happy waiting for 5 weeks, no big deal to me.

I just got a “Ready for UPS” update via my T-Mobile app. Does this mean I’ll have it launch day potentially? If so, how in the?

It really is and almost everyone on this thread thus far got their order in fine without too many hiccups. This is the first time I'm getting my iPhone on release day with T-Mobile!

I remember the previous threads, especially that of the 6/6+... that thread was a nightmare. IIRC that thread had almost 500-600 pages in it within a day or two or release day? Might be wrong but I remember it was HUGE.

thats what i was thinking. Going caseless. May get a thin film screen protector. i got a tech armor film on my 7plus and its amazing almost like glass. Have started to hate the thick borders on glass for either the cut out version or full front protector that goes edge to edge.
Ever since T-Mobile added the AppleCare+ with insurance for $12 I’ve been using my iPhones naked. Feels premium in the hand yet slippery at times I do use thin cases at random times but still I live in the danger zone mostly.

My theory is T-Mobile were allotted slightly more phones this year than previous years based on how little they were given for the 6/7's release. So many customers were angry that this year a bunch of people might have decided to order straight through Apple to increase their chances of getting a phone on time... slightly larger supply for TMO + less people ordering through TMO?

Almost everybody in the thread called customer support instead of ordering online (based on previous experience). I tried to order it online and then I got help from T-Force on twitter. The shipping slipped for me to 11/3-11/10 and haven't gotten any good news yet. I still think that online ordering shouldn't be a problem in 2017 for a carrier. Also they charged me $20 extra. Everybody is raving about great customer service with T-Mobile. Indeed, they credited me the extra charge, but I would not call it great customer service to remove a charge that shouldn't have been made. I'm pretty sure 90% of the phone / T-Force orders didn't notice the $20 extra charge. They made a ton of money even after they knew that there were problems with their app / web site. This is simply shady.

The only reason I'm not looking for changing my carrier is that based on the threads here, every other carrier had their own problems and at the end I got what I wanted, for the advertised price, even if I will get it one week late.

I order every year via phone, last year was my only year not getting it on launch day as I ordered the jet black plus 128gb. Ordered online this year early and it went smooth took me 2 min to complete order

T-Mobile might not (certainly doesn’t) have the best service, but they do have the best customer service of the 4 major US wireless providers.
