Are you in a state without tax? You should have had to pay taxes up front regardless if not.

Nice! I feel like either very few (in comparison) ordered from T-Mobile or they were able to secure a ton of devices. Or s little of both.

It’s really amazing how far T-Mobile has managed to climb the totem pole to where they now have the clout to secure a decent amount of iPhones. Remember when T-Mobile was advertising that they sold Sims that would work on an iPhone, even though they didn’t even carry it? Remember the rumors of Sprint buying them? They’ve come a loooooonnnggg way indeed

Agreed, I still remember the failed attempt by AT&T to buy T-Mobile, and those were our hopes of getting the iPhone 4S lol

Oh god, I was on my Folks AT&T Plan and thinking about how awful T-Mobile was at the time. I'm in Chicago and knew family members who had T-Mobile with bad reception at the time. lol

Preordered on 10/27 at around 8 am in the Tmobile store as I am on the older JoD plan. It’s ok to be excited if I got the following updates right :

Actually the access point that I picked is a UPS Store! Everytime I pick up a package there, they always make me sign. So this is so confusing and annoying.

You should try a UPS Customer Center instead of a UPS store. Your order can possibly be delayed if it’s sent to a store whereas at the CC you can pick it up when they open.

Woke up to an email from tmobile with an equipment agreement change. Looks like monthly payments for JOD changed from $26 a month to $27.69. Love how they keep changing the price even after the phone has shipped.

If i remember correctly the price was an estimated amount subject to change ?

Yea. Just like the $0 down I was quoted the day before pre orders. Lol. I’m still just bitter about that $279 down payment. Hehe.

Ouch. That really sucks. I agree if you have a contract with a specific pricing nothing should change. I think I reas somewhere in the contract the price was an estimate; but even on a contract nothing should be estimated. Things need to be accurate.

Essentially jump on demand has become a way to get an EIP w/o having to pay all of the tax up front for me now. I’ll be almost $700 in after 12 months so I’ll just buy it at the end and sell it on my own before I jump again.

I’ve been contemplating on this too. Depending how this phone performs and what the next model is like; I may end up just paying out the lease and keep it.

On the brighter side mine is almost 45/mo because i didn’t pay the 279 so which would you prefer?

Almost everybody in the thread called customer support instead of ordering online (based on previous experience). I tried to order it online and then I got help from T-Force on twitter. The shipping slipped for me to 11/3-11/10 and haven't gotten any good news yet. I still think that online ordering shouldn't be a problem in 2017 for a carrier. Also they charged me $20 extra. Everybody is raving about great customer service with T-Mobile. Indeed, they credited me the extra charge, but I would not call it great customer service to remove a charge that shouldn't have been made. I'm pretty sure 90% of the phone / T-Force orders didn't notice the $20 extra charge. They made a ton of money even after they knew that there were problems with their app / web site. This is simply shady.

The only reason I'm not looking for changing my carrier is that based on the threads here, every other carrier had their own problems and at the end I got what I wanted, for the advertised price, even if I will get it one week late.

I was able to order online, did so around 2:57am est.

That’s a very Long time. Are you going to actually use it 45 months ? Or this is a way to just have super low payments?

How much are the payments?

Ever since T-Mobile added the AppleCare+ with insurance for $12 I’ve been using my iPhones naked. Feels premium in the hand yet slippery at times I do use thin cases at random times but still I live in the danger zone mostly.

How do I change my insurance to the 12 dollar option? I already have the 10 dollar option but I figure I might as well pay 2 more dollars instead of paying apple 200 up front.

Is it just me or has this been the LEAST drama filled T-Mobile preorder thread of the past 5 years????

I was going through the old 7/7+ Preorder thread and it was a cesspool of ****ery. Orders that had been Ghost canceled, systems going down, t-mobile employees giving false info, phones being delivered early, phones not being delivered at all, pure pandemonium in that thread...

This year it’s been almost TOO painless

Yes, as a member of the 6s and 7 pre-order club, things seem a little too painless this time around. I’m half expecting a little drama at the UPS hub to occur or something. Either way, this has been the fastest, most informed iPhone launch period. Has T-Mobile *gasps* learned from their constant pre-order mistakes over the years?!?

The thing about this is JOD requires you to trade in your device (to continue JOD). If you pay it off and keep it, you’ll need to trade in a fully paid off device to be eligible for JOD again.
