If i remember correctly the price was an estimated amount subject to change ?

They roll tax into the monthly installments, which isn’t included in the device installment amount shown up front.

Hey,

someone from Germany here and ordered with Telekom / T-Mobile?
I ordered 2 minutes after an "unofficial" midnight release (256gb space grey) and it already slipped to the end of november (with pre-reserveration ticket) - i cant think thats normal.....

Anyway we can stop hating on customer service? When things go wrong it sucks for sure, but we were all new once, and even when you aren’t, we all make mistakes.

I A L W A Y S add insurance even if I don’t use it to me it’s common sense for these micro computers that cost upwards of, and now exceed, $1000.

I’ve only ever needed to use insurance once, when my 6S Plus screen cracked while in my pocket while I was at work (bumped against a hard object) but I’ll be famed if I pay $279 for a replacement screen when I can just drop $29 through Apple
It sounds like you always buy insurance but have used it once. If you add up the cost of each of the insurance plans and subtract your savings from the time insurance helped you, I think you'll find that it has cost you quite a bit more than the money it's saved you. This is why the extended warranties/insurance products are typically not worth the money.

My honest advice is to take the insurance premium and put it in a savings account. If you never need the insurance, the money stays there and you add your next "premium" with your next phone. This way you're paying yourself and are self insured. If you happen to be unlucky on your first round of savings, you'll end up negative for a period but will collect savings over the long run.

Essentially jump on demand has become a way to get an EIP w/o having to pay all of the tax up front for me now. I’ll be almost $700 in after 12 months so I’ll just buy it at the end and sell it on my own before I jump again.

I paid the EIP off for my 7+ and will be selling that. I traded my 6+ in to get the promo credit. I had no credit left to offset the X, so I ended up putting down $810.19 bringing my equipment charge to $5.42 per month.

My experience has been to never switch pickup to a UPS store, has always added an extra delivery day.

Depends. You always have to assume it will add a day but I've had a lot of packages arrive same day -- usually on the late bus. But if you arrange for p/u at the actual UPS depot you can p/u same day anytime from opening to close which is nice b/c they open at 8am. Another alternative is paying for the two-hour delivery window (2 free if you have premium My Choice). But it's not guaranteed and I wouldn't bet on it launch day if you live in an urban area. Where I am they often miss the estimated 4 hour window by hours.

Just FYI at this point USE THE UPS APP! TMobile app is unstable and their website has stale data. If yours has been stuck in 'order processing', fire up UPS app and sign up for free UPS my choice.

It will find your package by the address and provide you all the relevant details. Mine is scheduled for Friday delivery and this was the only way to find that out lol.

I had to switch reps when pre-ordering, that’s how bad it is. I will continue to hate, because it’s terribad and terribad isn’t a word. T-Mobile customer service is a 1st world problem, with 3rd world support.

The rep I was speaking to was talking at 200mph, not listening to me, and explaining things I told her didn’t need explaining. When we went to process the order, she said “you want a 256 Space Black, correct?” We hadn’t discussed which phone I wanted yet, but she was already clicking things in her system. I said, very, VERY clearly to avoid a mistake “no, I want a 64 gb silver.” Her response? “Ok 256gb Space Black”.

I immediately told her to put a new rep on the phone, as I was certain she was going to screw up my order. I was transferred to another foreign rep, all went smoothly. 2nd time’s a charm with T-Mobile phone support.

I would love to say this happens infrequently, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Simple, straightforward, easy problems are made difficult with the foreign reps. The occasional time I get connected to someone in the US, my issue gets resolved promptly. I’m not stereotyping to stereotype. Just going off my experience.

It’s an Uncarrier move that needs to happen: Domestic only support.

For some odd reason, ups my choice doesn't populate my phone delivery. I have tracking and see the city and state destination, but doesn't appear on my future deliveries.

The thing about this is JOD requires you to trade in your device (to continue JOD). If you pay it off and keep it, you’ll need to trade in a fully paid off device to be eligible for JOD again.
This is absolutely not true. I never traded a phone in to start a JOD contract. it is not REQUIRED to trade in a device to add JOD.

I wonder if the line at UPS that day will be similar to Apple Stores. Heh. My UPS depot only has like 6 parking spots for customers. That will be interesting.

Hello everyone!

Anyone with 11/3 - 11/10?
I ordered a Space Gray 256GB 8:25 AM ET online on T-mobile's website.

I also ordered a Silver 256GB on Verizon with no updates either 3:30 AM ET.

Me. I had an issue when I called st 3am with the down payment. Contacted executive support and was granted a better credit level which allowed the $0 down. I was able to place an order for two 64gb silver x’s around noon est 10/27. Still no movement on T-Mobile or UPS.

Pretty sure he means once you’re already using JOD on the line.
right, but if I pay the lease off at say the 10 month point. I will own the phone and can start another JOD contract. Which is my plan with the X. With the down payment and monthly lease payment the phone is roughly 60% paid off. Selling it on the side will net a profit at that point.

Mine was 11/3-11/10. 64GB Silver. Mine shipped already and I have the IMEI in my EIP agreement.
