Device Protection may only be added during a “qualifying event”. Typically, this is within 14 days of the purchase (order date) of a T-Mobile USA branded device from an authorized T-Mobile channel (T-Mobile retail stores nationwide, authorized postpaid dealers, Costco, Customer Care, for existing customers, T-Mobile.com, and Telesales, 1-800-T-Mobile). Additionally, there are occasional “open enrollment” periods. Qualifying events apply to new customers and existing customers who are upgrading their device.

OP asked about Jump or JoD. You answered something that wasn’t asked.

ITs in the same FAQ questions. JUMP! is an exclusive program for T-Mobile customers, who enroll in Premium Device Protection. JUMP! lets you upgrade your EIP financed device more often. With JUMP! Upgrades, once you've paid 50% of your device cost, you can upgrade your current device, in good working order, and any remaining EIP balance will be paid off.

So i guess you are right since he would have to sign up for device protection

Did you order through t-mobile or apple? I had multiple issues, either the iphone x didn't show up as an option, or they failed to process my credit card data.. The charge showed up on my cc 11 times (!), but it thrown an error on t-mobile.com every single time even an hour later.

If you did order it over t-mobile.com, then you were lucky, just based on this thread: https://twitter.com/TMobile/status/923788582585638912

I order through T-Mobile was on the site at 1:50 refreshed had to sign in again and it was available to pre order 10 min early. Guess I was one of the first ones and traffic was not high on the site yet.

I checked the T-mobile site and app and it still says "order is processing" with estimates of 11/2-3.
But when I check UPS My Choice, I see a shipping label created and "Order Processed: Ready for UPS".
I guess T-mobile is slow on updating the statuses.

Interesting. I'm not sure why it was never mentioned to me as an option. I didn't see it listed as an option when I attempted to order online either.

My UPS tracking went live last night while at the same time my TMob a/c did not indicate "shipped." This morning my TMob a/c does say "Shipped," so yes there seems to be an hours long lag between the tracking # showing up on your UPS account and "shipped" status @ T-Mob. Clearly T-Mob's system is not real time.

Hello everyone!

Anyone with 11/3 - 11/10?
I ordered a Space Gray 256GB 8:25 AM ET online on T-mobile's website.

I also ordered a Silver 256GB on Verizon with no updates either 3:30 AM ET.

I got charged today for 64GB Silver today. Ordered 1 p.m. CST on Oct 27.

Got charged this morning, ordered iPhone 10 64GB Silver around 1 p.m. on Oct 27. Estimate date is 11/03 - 11/10.
That's awesome! you guys in the 11/03-11/10 just might be getting it on release date as well! They only charge right before it ships. They have until Thursday to ship for next day delivery. If i was to guess, all of that are being charged with 11/03-11/10 are getting it on friday!

The only two ways to start a JOD lease is over the phone or in-store at time of purchase. As another poster said you can add Premium Device Protection to get on Jump but that's a completely different program and you'll be paying $12 a month and can only jump when you've paid off half of the EIP.

We don't offer JOD in-store anymore for new activations - aside from our current Smartpick promotion ("$0 Down For All"). You have to be an existing JOD customer. Care (phone or online) seems to still be offering it to new customers... your mileage may vary there.

I am NOT happy. Ordered via phone 3:10am ET (2 X’s 256gb Black) and have been charged and not shipped even though it gives me a date of 11-2/11-3. My brother ordered a 64gb silver on Friday at 5pm eastern and just got his tracking number. NOT happy with T-Mobile right now, looking into switching back to ATT.

Relax. This happened last year and people still got their phones in order they were placed. I ordered at 12pm Friday and have no tracking number. If you were in this thread last year you’d be grateful anyone even has the chance of getting their phone on launch day.

Give it some time man. You still got 4 days until it can ship, that's a long time compared to how quick it's been moving. Have you checked UPS my choice and see if any labels have been created?

ok thanks guys, I just called, and you were right. I could change to Jump or Jump On Demand within 14 days of the purchase. I chose Jump instead of Jump on Demand.

I’ve been following the thread and I thought I’d share with those of you concerned that you haven’t seen any movement...

I ordered my phone (Silver/64) at 7:40AM PST. I haven’t heard a word from T-Mo, their App says it’s processing (EST. Del. 11/3-10), and their site says it can’t even find the order!

HOWEVER, I was charged yesterday, UPS has T-Mo order being delivered (11-3), and UPS even updated to “Order ready to pickup”.

So T-Mo’s site may be giving you nothing- doesn’t mean it’s not coming.

Oddly enough, I ordered my wife’s phone ten minutes later but I have not seen any movement on it... I haven’t checked for a Charge.
